On-tap at Dive Bar in Worcester, MA. Tried this once before in the tasting room at Allagash, glad to see it again.

A- Bright golden yellow pour from the tap. One finger creamy white head with decent retention. Tons of lace from a small ring.

S- Semi-sweet cracked rye, grains and malt comes to mind. Spicy yeast with notes of lemon zest, coriander and pepper.

T- Yeasty but not overbearing like some Saisons can be. Nice notes of semi-tart lemon peel, raisin, white pepper, coriander and oranges. Fresh cracked grains, rye and wheat bread come to mind as well.

MF- Light, semi-dry body with moderate carbonation. Light spicy bitterness in the finish and the tiniest bit of tartness.

Good Saison that isn't just a yeast bomb.

Fist pour on draft at Provisions market.

A- golden yellow opaque beer with egg white head. Great lacing that sticks around.

S- saison yeast and spicy rye. Tropical notes and spicy pepper with some funk.

T- spicy, sweet, funky, light hop, grapefruit, citrus bitterness. Sweet funk that lingers forever and back to the rye in the end with more tropical notes.

O- Such a good flavor, wow I am amazed at the flavor combination. I am very rarely letdown by allagash. I would drink this over and over again.

Attractive hazy look of a Hefeweizen, with a decent foam in the tulip. Slurpy, sudsy mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. Wheaty aroma.

Some sweet wheaty esters are nicely balanced with the rye flavor. A pleasant scratchy zing, but not as sharp or resiny as many other Rye Ales. The yeasty Belgian flavors add a nice dry touch. Very low bitterness but lots of taste.

This seems like a great idea, to mate the rye and Saison flavors. This one is done with some subtlety. I'd like to see more experimentation like this instead of the random flavor additives. On tap at the Salted Pig in Riverside, California.
