All about the beer with a great tour. All staff members were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic about all things Allagash. A great guy poured a sample of the House Beer after seeing the look of disappointment on my face when I found out a case is the minimum purchase. Their barrel aging area for the special releases and the Curieux room were excellent. Definitely make reservations and take the tour. My only mild complaint was that I had hoped for more offerings for sale, but their product is so popular that it is understandable. (541 characters)

I've been to Maine twice now on beer trips, but 2015's WFB event was my first venture to both Portland and Allagash. As such, I didn't get the full "average day" experience at the brewery, but it's pretty obvious what they have going on here.

The place is huge, covering a large chunk of real estate. The main bar area is nice, spacious, and well-kept. I'm not sure if they open the rest of the brewery for tours or whatever on a normal day, but it's very interesting to see their brewing equipment and procedures, and of course, barrels and barrels everywhere.

The WFB event was honestly one of the most well-run beer events I've ever been to. What could have obviously been a total cluster**** ended up being very smoothly run, with all the employees on the top of their game, and all the costumers / consumers getting everything they needed with no issues and barely any lines. If you had a question, there was someone there to answer it.

Of course, the selection for the event was by most standards out of this world, but it seems like on a typical Allagash-only day, you would still get a good amount of options, and it would interesting to see what kind of brewery-only stuff pops up.

I hope to return to Allagash soon! (1,229 characters)
