Growler filled at Whole Foods Fairfax, poured into a Tree House tulip. Noticeable hop aroma as soon as I unscrewed the cap. Pours like a porter, with a 1/2" khaki head that had some staying power. Smell was tropical hop with a small amount of roasted malts (enough to balance it out, but nothing like a porter would have). Taste follows with some pleasant tropical hop mixed with a bit of resin. Mouthfeel was a little bit thin, but that might be because you see a dark beer and expect some weight, but being a black IPA, it is not. Acceptable level of carbonation. Very nice beer, overall. I will absolutely be getting more fills whenever it is available.

On draft at Texas Jack's in Arlington. Meh. I am hoping the other Ocelot beers I haven't had that have been hyped up are much better than this. OK. Nothing to seek out.
