This beer could be named super clean or super light. A very light gold color. Aroma of super clean and light hops, a note of candied lemon in the background. Everything is present in the right amounts but there is very little actual hop character, just the perfect amount of perceived bitterness.

The overall beer is good but some of the individual characteristics are decent. The taste and smell have a light floral note and grapefruit note that comes off a little light. The feel is medium but is a bit watery towards the end. Still, a good ipa.

On tap at brewery:
Just a tad bit hazy for an IPA, to me, but a lovely light yellow-gold color. Head is brilliant white, pillowy. Lasting with almost full coverage and heavy lacing early.
At brewery isn't best place, but surprised by strength of nose, which is a little weak. Ripe for a revisit on that, but notes generally tropical - but not in a sweet sense. Pineapple and guava to me, but more like an unopened pineapple where you get the fruit note you know, but it's still a plant/vegetation. Light vinous notes, as well.
Taste opens clean on a light malt profile, as usual for this brewer (maybe cracker-like). Hops don't give me much chance to figure it out, as their more vegetal note grabs early. Grassy comes to mind, but those tropical notes and a hint of light white wine frolic atop the grass to lead to a fresh and light tasting brew. Warmth brings more of the tropics in, but also a light pine - mainly leading into the end taste.
Feel is light to medium on the tongue, but the hops grow in boldness. It can drain the palate in time, but you don't realize it.
I really enjoyed this beer, and think it embodies what I want in an IPA very well. The overall impression may be a bit more subtle to some, but it works for me.
