This is a typical poor russian beer, no taste, no a good aroma, just numb aftertaste and alcohol.

Came in a standard brown half liter bottle with a rather funky green label. "Ledyanoye" means icey. Rice is listed as an ingredient. Best by 11/16/03, I opened it on 8/19/03.
I was pleasantly surprised, as I had expected extremely little from this brew. It poured a very light and clear shade of yellow under a white fizzy head that actually managed to stick around a little while and produced a trace of lace. The nose was very malty, with rice aroma noticeable. The mouth was very prickly, and inexplicably heavy. The taste starts with citrus fruit and grains, with a definite sweetness lurking underneath. There's a bit of hops, but the aftertaste is much more mild than bitter. If you want to try a Russian ice beer, this is the one to try.
