The largest brewery in Russia produces 9 different brews of which I've tried 4 and enjoyed 3 of them very much.
This lager pours a very pale golden yellow with a full two finger snow white head that melts slowly to a nice white ring of lacing.
Typical lager yeast in the aroma but much less intense than other lagers. I don't care for the smell of lager yeast so this is a good thing.
Mouthfeel is slightly creamier than most lagers.
Flavor is lightly sweet pale malt with a nice mild bite of sharp hops blending well with it. There is almost a wheat-sharp character to the flavor although no wheat is in the beer.
Aftertaste is clean, fresh, and drying.
One of the better pale lagers I've ever had.

Saw the bottles in a beverage market, didn´t expect much and i was right. The most interesting about this beer is the bottle. No foam bad mouthfeel, cheap hops cheap malt. Crap...

This Import got misplaced in a move. Best Buy date is 11:08:05, which at best means this all malt 4.8% abv lager has been in a mostly steady, temp-friendly environ for at least 10 yrs. I was expecting a drain pour but the crisp hiss of the cap let me know it had life. In a tall modified Stang, this lager has an astonishingly brilliant gold body topped by a dense white cap of rocky white foam. The foam sticks around through the 1st half, leaving broken rings of lace along the way. The smells are muted when refrigerator cold, but still the rich smell of malt is immediately present. The malt richness of the smell evolves as it warms almost reaching a toffee (?) sweetness. Any remnants of noble hops are long gone from the smell, but lend great balance to the taste, which is a (relatively) low abv malt bomb that is rich, without ever approaching cloying, smooth and delicious with a semi-drying, delicately balanced finish with soft hop bitterness keeping everything together. Now, who knows, a fresh bottle of this might suck, but a 10-15 yr. old that was just kept at relatively stable (basement, closet) temp and little attention, made this beer a real treat somehow. No indication of oxidation in the taste, but I did notice a heavier than expected mouthfeel and a hint of slickness that I thought may be a bit off for a euro-pale.

Rerate, 500 ml bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Crystal clear pale yellow colour, fizzy white head. Very moderate aroma, some pilsener malts and a weak fruitiness. Very light bodied, relatively dry, very moderate bitterness. Cold, refreshing and easy drinking, but boring.

L: Light gold. Partly hazy. Fairly active.

S: Thick chest hair. Barley and a bit of hops to balance it out.

T: Several grains, several hops. It's okay to drink. It's very much malt forward. The hop quality could be higher, but not without also raising the price and working itself into a niche. I think the fact that this company managed to bottle a beer and get it to Ohio is more than enough for a Russian export.

F: The use of hop extract means the brew has a big bready Slavic malt base with a bitterness that seemingly comes from nowhere--At least it holds well for a long transport.

O: Just fine. The Cyrillic on the label is bound to catch someone's attention.

Look: Light gold.
Smell: Very grainy. Like the way an old fashioned feed store used to smell.
Taste: Malt, adjunct, (corn?, beet sugar?...who knows). Minimal hops, similar to Heineken.
Mouthfeel: Medium light, refreshing but slightly heavy. It doesn’t taste bad, just different.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a crystal clear color with a one finger head of billowy white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a ton of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a bready and lightly grainy smell that has a decent sum of caramel and light harvest fruits (peach, pear, and apricot). Along with these smells is a little bit of a apple aroma and a touch of hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet caramel and light fruit taste of apple and pear. Along with these flavors are some lighter bready malt taste as well as a bit of cracker. The malt is rather light, and doesn’t blend and balance the sweeter tastes all the well. The sweeter seem to get sweeter as the taste moves on, all while the bready and cracker get weaker. There is a little bit of a papery taste that comes toward the end, leaving one with a somewhat unbalanced sweet almost off malt liquor like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thin with a carbonation level that is higher. For the odd flavors and low abv the feel is good for the brew, making it more palatable and refreshing.
Overall – No…. Not a very well crafted beer at all. It tastes like a poorly made and crafted malt liquor. Almost like taking a Redd’s apple ale, mixing it with a malt, and adding a touch of a lager.
