Presentation: 16.9 oz brown bottle with a foil wrap around the cap and neck, there was no freshness date to be found. Thin film of sediment on the bottom of the bottle.
Appearance: Pale golden yellow with a thin weak white lace, if it was not for the quick champagne like carbonation forcing bubble to the top there would be no head at all. Yeast is quite compact and stayed on the bottom while pouring to leave a nearly clear beer.
Smell: Fruity aroma with hints of apple peel, light floral hop with a spicy back ground. Lots of pale grain on the nose also.
Taste: Light to moderate body with a rushing carbonation that rolls into a smooth crispness. Light honey flavours within the malt, clean grain runs throughout and pretty much cleans house. Hops are herbal and spicy with a sharp balance and great drying effect, suggestions of black pepper are present. Light fruity flavour of apples and grape skin some sweet grain plays on these flavour and lead the palate to dryness as well. Semi clean finish with vague leftover light fruity flavours with grain and hop leaf as well.
Notes: Not bad drinking at all, clean enough to enjoy though seems to be not filtered at all so as to hold on to some raw flavours. A perfect match with any boiled dinner.
