Pours witha clear and golden color and is topped with an avergae white frothy head that soon settles down to almost nothing.
The aroma is mild. Some malts, some grains and surprisingly slighty soury smell.
The taste is light and sweet, balanced body finishes with a slight hoppiness. Slight, really slight bittery feel in the aftertaste.
Ok, but nothing special.

This lager is a nice golden color, light and bright with a clear body and topped off with a thick white head. The head forma a billowy mountaintop and you continue to pour, and the stream of lively carbonation slowly settles and disappears completely. There is a nice thins strong layer of lacing to mark every sip. The first aroma to hit you is the malts followed by some light grassy and lemony scents. It sweet overall and very refreshing. This is a light bodied lager, not much to the taste but still very refreshing.

Words cannot accurately describe how terrible this beer was. Did I get an old bottle? Was it something I said before I opened it?

It looks just fine out of the bottle. There's excellent clarity from the pale gold body, and a decent white cap that actually sticks around a bit. Everything goes way downhill from there.

If dry was a flavor, that would be the most positive comment I could make. Unfortunately, it's not. The beer is a strange mix of corn, chemicals, odd sweetness, plus a bonus face wincing sourness. The bitterness is light, yet harsh on the palate. It combines with the chemical flavors at the end to linger for what seems like an eternity. At least the body is light.

Overall, it's terrible stuff.

50 cl. clear (oh, lord) bottle @ home. Procured from Anna Maria in Antwerp. German import like most of the East-European goods available at these kinds of stores in Belgium. Bottled on 19.05.2013. Clear pale golden, foamy white head. Sweet sugary corn & cornflakes nose, light sunk accompanying the whole. Taste is soggy cornflakes, lots of them, corn, skunk, sugary, lightly syrupy & oily, sweet & soggy, touch artificial sweeteners, sweetish. Taste is soggy & oily. Crappy but manageable pale lager. The blond Baltika’s so far have been just crappy pale lagers unfortunately, too bad the 6 was pretty nice.

A: The beer is crystal clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin bright white head that quickly died down, leaving some patches of bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of sweet malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste is a bit sweet and has flavors of malt extracts along with a very slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels a bit more than light-bodied and rather smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is relatively easy to drink and surprisingly didn't have any skunked flavors, especially since it came from a clear glass bottle, although there was nothing interesting about the taste.

Gold?...almost. It's paler than that, though brilliantly clear. Never judge a beer by its color, I suppose. This one, though, doesn't establish much of a head. Clean white, it's barely able to cap at half a finger before it dies away to a wispy foam. At least that remains, though, and even drops a little spotting on the way down.
The aroma's a bit too vegetal coming off a lightly grassy note, and pale malts aren't offering too much here. There's a fruity sweetness and something dry and husky as well. I know basically what to expect from this style, though it is a catch-all. This aroma, at least, is lacking something. It's average if not for the overly vegetal note.
The flavor drops a bit of the husk and vegetation and even gives a touch of noble hops spiciness. That's a pleasant surprise. Malts are still light and it's not exciting, but it's an improvement over the nose and just above average in an admittedly weak style.
The feel isn't bad. I expect a light body, and these beers tend sometimes to have an odd slickness, which this beer avoids. It's a bit crisp and even has a mild smoothness to it.
