From its bottle, about 16 ounces, in a standard pint glass.
Pale frosted yellow color with a 2-plus finger white head and lots of sticky lacing.
Not much by way of aroma. It smells - bad. Astringent mineral, artificial plant or floral smell, wet grain.
Taste is a bit better than the smell. Not good and difficult to describe.
Light, fresh, unpleasant aftertaste.
I finished it and survived so that’s good, I guess.

Cloudy, amber/orange appearance with a large, off white head and very little lacing. Typical fruity esters for the style, although a little reserved. Initially sweet, yeasty wheat taste, gently hopped, decently spiced. Gave way to a clean, fruity, slightly tart finish. Medium-bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel.

Poured from the bottle into a wheat ale style glass.
Very nice pale bronze body color, deep orange with a shiny brown hue that goes to real nice bronze metal like appearances. Head is a bit soapy but large, three fingers a bit more with a foamy fine hefe look, but then gets bigger and soapier adding to a quick dissolve and small collar. Very cidery looking brew but still solid.
Aroma hints at slight off fusel like alcohol notes, and estery yeast. Mild touches of clove and banana, but more of a bit of sticky caramel malt action as well.
Palate is a bit of a drag. Sharp hinting clove notes on first sip, but more touches of apple like cider sweetness. Finishes a little hot but also fairly wet in body with little supportive mouthfeel. Light touches of orange like tang box juice and faint hinting coriander.
Comes off more like a wit orange mix than a hefeweizen

Not much to add really dig the look large format really attracts the consumer. Smells of banana and wheat taste about the same slight fruit sugars and more sourdough than wheat. A bit filling in the body but not very yeasty which is nice. Not a bad take on the style but nothing I would seek out again.

This is #8 in the Baltika lineup and maybe the best among all the others! Baltika might be well known but I have tried other Russian beers that were better and had a more refined taste than them... but this wheat beer is a normal German Hefeweizen, not much to comment about, typical in taste, mid-moderate in the amount of yeast and good after all - nothing to claim about.
Wish the other beers from this brewery would be just as well as this one!

Copper orange with a moderate haze, a few slow rising bubbles, and 5 fingers of orange cream head.
Smells of coriander, canned pears, phenols and a hint of bubble gum.
Tastes of malts, phenols, hints of canned fruit like peaches, a little coriander, and a slight acrid taste.
Medium body, little carbonation.
Found this in Chiang Mai, where I am drinking it August 31st, 2017. Pretty good for a Russian Macro Brewery doing a German style.
