Had this last weekend at the source, I believe the server said it was 6.5% abv
Pours straw colored with 1/2" white head, with a little lacing & head retention
S: Citric hops, & fruittyness
T: Citric hops up front, a little fruttyness in the middle. Finishes dry, hoppy & quenching
MF: Medium bodied, good levels of carbonation, but skews a tad to hoppy to me.
Drinks very easy, not a bad IPA at all

On tap at the brewpub. Pours orange with a long lasting, white, fluffy head and soda like carbonation. Aroma is of citrusy hops, biscuit malt, caramel and ripe fruit. Body is full and crisp. Taste is citrusy hops, biscuit malt and ripe fruit. The finish is long, and very hoppy. Great IPA.

Had on tap at the pub
A: light copper, rich gold, half an inch of head that reduced to nothing. Great clarity. Excellent lacing.
S:floral piney hops, a hint of caramel, not much else.
T: nice floral hops, slight bitterness, light hint of mineral. Slighty...salty? Kind of odd. Not off though.
M light carbonation, nice dryness, slight booze heat, lingering bitterness is slight.
D: easy drinker. This beer is excellent after a long day. Not extraordinary. But a fine beer nonetheless.

Entered into 2008 GABF as English-style IPA (category 43).
Pours a strong 2 finger light tan (oranged) head over a clearish straw cooper liquid. Smells mild hop aroma of oranges and woody enlish hop. Malt is minimal (toast) as are esters.
Tastes wet pull but hops jump in strong and fruity. Hop flavor is orange, pineapple, tangerine, and mild orange pith. Hop bitter is not to style, but the beer flavors are wonderful. Toasty malt, clean, but noticcable alcohol, and a nice cream character mixes with fruity peach and orange esters. The esters blend very well with the hop flavor and the whole ting is clean of the palate by strong carb and mild alcohol sting. Great beer (not quite to style) and dangerously drinkable. Light body and strong carbonation.

I got a chance to drink a glass from a growler a friend brought back from the brewery. Orange color with a slight grassiness to the aroma. The flavor was more malty than hoppy but was a nice departure from the hop-bombs everyone seems to be calling IPA's.. nice beer, easy to drink and no hint of the 6.5% in the flavor.

probably my favorite glenwood canyon beer, which unfortunately isn't saying anything amazing. its more of an English style smelling and tasting of that classic caramel malt, and the hops provide more bitterness than flavor. its almost too balanced, if that makes sense, more like a pale ale than an ipa, untraditional, but still quite tasty. its got a lot of body and is good on a cold night, but it is brutally undercarbonated for what it is, and it makes it kind of a drag. probably about a B overall, at best. glenwood canyon has a good thing going with the vibe and the food, but their beers continue to disappoint me, most especially in terms of mouthfeel. they are all overly sweet, and they are all so generic. that said, this is one of their better offerings, and I would be happy to put a few of these down anytime.

Man this was an enjoyable IPA that poured a nice head that had great retention all through out the beer. It smelled hoppy with some lemon citrus. It tasted of hops and malts with a slivery feel and a unique mouthfeel for an IPA with a slightly bitter finish. This was an enjoyable IPA that was very drinkable.

I love IPA's. And Glenwood Canyon makes an good one. A great head that really lasted and the nose has some citrusy hops - the first taste is a blend of hops and malt; the tiniest hint of metallic taste is followed by a rich crisp and bright middle (a little thin in body for an IPA); the after taste is gently bitter and perfectly dry. My only quibble is that this is more of a Pale Ale - not hoppy enought. If it had more hops which a great IPA requires, it would be even better.

This is a very tasty IPA.
It has a color which is a bit more gold than the IPA standard copper, but it had a great thick fluffy head.
The beer smelled of hops and barley.
The taste was probably not a good representative of the IPA style because it is not heavily hopped.
The beer was well balanced with a great mouthfeel and drinkablility, but it is strong in the body department.
I really liked this beer even though it was not a particularly good example of an IPA. It is certainly something that can be enjoyed in quantity .
