This rich red ale has a combination of American and English malts including two crystal malts and a small amount of peated malt which gives just a hint of smokey flavor to the beer. We use Irish Northdown hops and American Golding hops for aroma and bitterness. Contract brewed for the Siné Irish Pub & Restaurant.

Draft pint at Sine Irish Pub at the Pentagon City Mall. Copper-gold color. Arrived with almost no head. Earthy sweet aroma. Light citrus-fruity taste followed by light hops. Some waxy-grassy aftertaste. Somewhat like a light Scotch Ale. My daughter had ordered a Highland Gaelic Ale and once I had a taste of that I quickly finished this Irish Ale to order a Highland. (368 characters)

Copper-amber with a low beige head which leaves some lace. Malty aroma with a light spice character. Malty in flavor with hints of nutiness and roastiness and not too sweet. Medium bodied but finish is a bit harsh as it warms.

A decent Irish red - nothing extraordinary but dependable.

Brewed for Sine Irish Pub - I know there is one in Pentagon City - Reviewed on draft at OD brewpub. (391 characters)

One of the better Irish style red's that I have had. Very refreshing and drinkable. Had a nice malty body to it, with the blending of some fruits. The color was a pretty deep amber color with an off white head. The head started out nice, but then flattened out to a laceing. I think this would sell good if it were bottled and would be a great tool by the brewery to get macro/Killians drinkers to crossover to them. We'll see how it goes though. (446 characters)

Part of the Poitras/VA 2004 vacation.

Enjoyed on tap at Old Dominion brewpub, Ashburn, VA

Pint glass presentation. Beige 1/2" head over a deeply reddish-amber brew, and slight lacing. Slightly hoppy aroma, with a well-balanced flavor exhibiting nicely hopped and malted characteristics. Mouthfeel and drinkability good. (325 characters)
