Pours a nice, translucent, dark-straw, borderline orange, with some head that disapates too quickly. Deep hop aroma mixed with nice, slightly spicey, citrus after-tones.

Taste is rather refershing, for an imperial. Definate hop bitterness, but it mixes with the citrus flavor and malt undertones rather well. Combine this with the chewy, yet mild mouth feel, and you got yourself one interesting brew. Zesty, yet sweet. Light, yet definately solid.

While some what contradictory in the taste this brew represents, it make for a facinating sample, and a definately great session brew!

This beer is the same as last year's, and it's amazing once again.

Pours a light gold color, with a nice thick, though quickly fading head. Leaves a fantastic looking lace on the glass as it goes down.

Smell is flowery-sweet and very inviting. This is a pilsner geared at hopheads, and it really delivers.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied, but the taste is loaded with hops. This is my kind of pilsner.

Finishes bone dry and begging for another sip.

At 8.5% this is a dangerous and hefty brew. I drank three of them very easily and didn't even think about it. When I tried to stand up, I realized what I'd done! An extremely drinkable hop-monster of a beer. The brewery isn't far from where I live, so when I picked up this six-pack at the local store, the bottled-on date was the previous day. Can't get it much fresher than that!

Same as last years, but evidently they remembered to dry hop this years.

Pours a slightly burnished golden colour with a nice 2 finger white head that laces well.

Aroma is bready with some sweet citrus rind aroma. Taste has a bit of grainy huskyness at first then it finishes with a blast of sweet yet drying hops. This is a must for hop heads. The dry hopping gives it that extra bit that was missing from last years great version. Mouthfeel is full for a pilsner, the hops add a bit of stickiness to the mouthfeel which is nice. Drinkability.. Please sir may I have another. This is dangerous drinkable. This is the best brew Dominion has put out in my opinion. I wish they would make it all year round, but then again maybe some of the magic would wear offf.. Nahhhh.

This sets the bar for the Double or Imperial Pilsner set.

70 Ibus this time around. Seeing as this is the same beer every year now - perhaps it's time to conglomerate the reviews from '04 on, although evidently this is dry hopped. Appearance is stellar. Beautiful Golden crystal clear brew with a nice white head. Looks like a major refresher. Aroma is a sublime mix of grassy, almost sweet fruity hops, aromatic pilsner malt, all intertwined with a nice alcohol scent. The taste backs up the aroma. Very tasty up front, with a great sweet citus hop taste, giving way to a nice grainy maltiness, only to finish with a warming alcohol kick. Very clean mouthfeel, and dangerously drinkable. I've got two cases of this and it won't last long. This is at least on par if not better than last years spring brew. A favorite.
