From a growler filled the previous day. Clear caramel colored body with a decent sized light tan head. Some scattered webs of lacing. Sweet fruits and caramel in the aroma. Some toasty malt notes as well as a light chocolate. Caramel and plenty of sweet fruits make up most of the flavor. Unusually bitter which seemed a bit out of place. Finished with some more light sweet fruit notes. Thick enough body with plenty of carbonation. Pretty easy drinking despite the odd bitterness, not bad at all.
Serving type: growler

Appearance: Arrives at the bar with a cloudy, caramel colored body and a beige head that leaves some splashy lacing
Smell: Toasted caramel aroma
Taste: Biscuity malt opening followed, mid-palate, by an earthy noble hop bitterness; a touch of sweetness lingers into the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium/thick bodied; a little syrupy; fairly well carbonated
Drinkability: A strange doppelbock that is surprisingly bitter; enjoyable, but just not quite to the mainstream German doppelbock style
Serving type: on-tap
