Looks a somewhat clear golden with carbonation. Nice small head with good retention..leaves a layer of foam and some sticks to the side of the glass as well

Aroma is of hops and some malts

Taste starts out with a nice hop bitterness, not too strong. Finishes off with a breadyness and malt backing

Mouthfeel is light and crisp

Drinkability is high...pretty refreshing beer which tastes good. Worth having a couple.

12oz bottle into pilsner glass.

This one's a little darker than average than your typical pilsner, but only by a little. Light honey-like amber hue with a dense two finger head that slowly settles to a thick cap.

Slightly grassy, more herbal notes, with a touch of spiciness. The malts are sweet and slightly toasty.

The malts exhibit the same toastiness as the aroma, giving an every so slight caramel flavor. The hops are pretty sharp, giving a strong bitterness and a little citrus. Light bodied, with a slightly acerbic finish toward the end.

An okay pilsner, and I prefer the ones with a little lighter and crisper malt flavor. The hops have a perfume-like in the aroma, and biting in the flavor, which I think is the better half of the beer. The malts need a little work.

A; it has a brown almost straw brown color with a white head that has decent retention

S: too much of a semi skunked smell, its not skunked i know this for sure, but had that moderately off aroma

T: clean and refreshing, nothing too insane here. it has a slight banana taste to it, also seems to have a bit of dried apricot in the taste. its a tad tart

decent brew, nothing too special but with a name like "beach house" it fits the bill

Poured from the bottle into a pilsner style glass dated April 19th 2012.

A real brassy gold and orange colored body, super crystal clear with lots of cola sticking carbonation on the glass, with an occasional bubbles bursting to the surface rather quickly. Head is big and rocky, with some good sized bubbles and white as can be.
Pretty solid, just wish there were some more finer bubbles in the body.

Wonderful pilsner malt and honey action. Some grassy bitter hop and a bit of phenols. Seems a bit astringency might be coming. Smells solid and refreshing.

Palate is sort of muted and small. Dull crispness a bit, not much of a malt presence in the middle of the palate, finishes fairly clean with a good body, even some density. Bitterness doesn't seem to translate nicely, nor sense of hop and tangyness either.

Overal long story short, not too many complaints, but can't say I am excited about this one.

Interesting brewer.
A: May win best looking pilsner next to Dogfish Imperial. Hazed golden body, with a 2 finger, merengue white head, that lasts and laces.
S: Pitch perfect grassiness. Inviting. clean crackery body, with pine and yeast evident. A bit laid back.
T: Refreshing, follows smell, but more so. Ample herbal/pine bitterness on the finish. With fine notes of honey, pine, lemon, grass. White Crackers, almost saltines. Clean.
F: Clean finish. Really enjoyable. Great food beer. A bit fizzy.

A: This was drunk from a bottle, as it should be.
S: It smelled like mild grassy hops and bready yeast. Not much to the nose.
T: It tasted like grassy hops and some light lemony citrus hops with sweet bready yeast.
M: It was watery with moderate carbonation.
D: This was a very clean and crisp summer beer that was super easy to drink and fairly refreshing. Nothing exciting about it at all, but good to have on the beech or after mowing the lawn, etc.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 5/29/2014. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, orange zest, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt, earthy hops, and yeast ester notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange zest, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and herbal earthiness. Good amount of earthy herbal/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange zest, cracker, biscuit, light honey, herbal, grass, pepper, pine, and herbal earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Very clean in flavor as well with minimal yeast ester presence. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Czech pilsener style. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Poured into a pilsner glass.

Pours a cloudy golden yellow. Nice thick white fluffy head. Decent lacing. Nice head retention as well. Good looking pilsner hybrid.

Brew smells of corn, yeast, lemon zest, some hops. Pretty good smell.

Brew is crisp initially, zesty and spiced; lemon, grassy hops and then a a smooth creamy middle. Brew is crisp and drinks very well. Very unique blend of wheat and pilsner. Good stuff here.

Could easily see having a nice session with this one or just drinking one on a hot day after cutting the lawn. Good stuff.

A: A very crisp, well filtered brew... rather pale, but a pale golden rather than yellow. It's got a fair bit of colour and character. A nice, creamy head tops it, retains beautifully, and sheets the glass in nice lines of lacing.

S: Grassy and earthy, with a rather sizeable malt profile and leafy hop balance.

T: Full flavoured, with a nice and pungent hoppiness. A nice little bit of spiciness holds on through the finish and holds on well. Flavour is quite true to style.

M: Body is a medium, and on the heavier side at that. It starts off with a little bite of crisp carbonation but goes on to smooth out a little and becomes a little heavy, perhaps. It's not harming anything, but I'd love it if it were crisper and cleaner.

D: Not sure of the alcohol content, but I do detect the alcohol, so I imagine it's at least about 5.5 or so... sure it could be found if someone looked hard enough. A pretty good beer, and something that would serve well as a sort of 'every day beer,' of sorts.

Had this brand at least once before Dominion was bought and then production moved to Fordham, in Delaware.

Luckily, Fordhad does a phenomenal job with lagers, and they don't draw my criticism for doing a brand based on a Virginia name in a totally not-Virginia state. Beer is still good if it's good, right?

Hazy deep straw to early gold color.

Clean white head, good retention.

Good noble-seeming hop aroma.

Balanced Czech-like Pils bitterness.

Nice mouthfeel, with that hint of wortiness meets grassy hop.

I think it'd be a come-down to say a good "lawn mower beer", because it's got more depth and character than that. A great hot weather beer. Well done.

Here is what I can say about the Old Dominion Beach House Golden Pilsner. It has a Golden Pale color and a smell of citrus that comes from the hops used.

It has a semi-bitter taste that makes it taste like it's a bread, but that is due to the hops. It does go down easily and it's a beer that I will drink again.
