Bottle, dated 9/08/10, poured into my Penn State shaker pint glass. My bottle label is different than that shown in the BA-bottle picture, but the only other Dominion beer listed here that has "Hop Mountain" in the name is a DIPA that has only one review. My bottle says "Pale Ale", not DIPA, and beers with one review are usually not widely available... so I'm guessing this is the right place for this review.
A: Very hazy orangish-brown with a thick bubbly white head on top. Very nice.
S: Malty-sweetness, typical of an east coast pale, is readily apparent, with a hint of hop citrus.
T: Tastes follows the nose, but I'm relieved to see that the hops are more present than I'd feared. Malty sweetness is present, but the hops are keeping it in check. A decent showing from an East Coast brewery, and I can't help but think that this guy might have been even better 2 months ago...
M: Thick in the mouth, it finishes a bit syrupy on the tongue and leaves a good hop-oil taste behind.
D: This beer was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed it, and I found it to be very drinkable. I would seek this out again.

A - Thin white head that dissipated quickly. Amber orange in color, slightly cloudy
S - Super hoppy and piney aroma, with slight citrus notes
T - Great hoppy bitterness and strong grapefruit flavor followed by a very subtle malty sweetness, leaves grapefruit after taste
M - Medium-light in body, very fine carbonation
O - In between a pale ale and an IPA. Great if you're looking for a hoppy beer but don't want the intensity of an IPA
