Cask into nonic-sytle 16oz pint glass.

Deep slightly cloudy amber hue, with a slight copper tint. A thin tan head sits on top, started to drink it too fast to see how it settled. The aroma was very light (as expected) with a little bit of grain, a touch of brown sugar, and barely any hops to speak of. The flavor was about the same with the light touch of brown sugar and a bit of bready grain. Medium bodied and very smooth. The finish is just a bit of lingering grain.

Very good English Bitter on cask. Wish I could find more of these.

Slightly hazy light bronze hue w/ a thick, dense, creamy well retained ivory - white head. Intricate Belgian lace down the glass-- very appetizing in appearance. This was served at a few degrees above cellar temp. Aromatic, floral lightly citrusy (Mt. Hood and Cascade) hop nose... not unlike Bell's Two Hearted in aroma, although that is hopped with Centennial. Lightly carbonated. Crisp, clean assertive hop bitterness w/ a quintessential grapefruit and citrus rind (but not piney) American hop flavor. Although malt is secondary, it provides a good foundation for the hop profile. Unbelieveably smooth all around from the cask conditioning. Finishes w/ a hint of biscuit malt and slowly fading hop bitterness. Simply put, this is an awesome IPA. Hop Pocket on cask... what more could one ask for?

Had this on tap at the Old Dominion Brewpub is Ashburn Virginia. This appeared a cloudy golden yellow with a good sized rocky off white head. Great head retention as a half-inch of head was still left in the glass after all the beer was consumed. The aroma was of a pleasant floral and citric hop scent that was not too strong or too weak but just right. The taste was crisp clean hoppy goodness with the citric standing at the forefront and slight earthy notes in it as well. Malt didn’t play a big a part in the flavor as it did in balancing this out. Mouthfeel was creamy with a medium body and this went down very smooth. Definitely on of my favorite non-seasonal beers that the brew pub offers.

Part of the Poitras/VA 2004 vacation.

Enjoyed on tap at Old Dominion brewpub, Ashburn, VA

Pint glass presentation. Creamy beige 1/2" head over a dark golden brew, and laced well. Malty and hoppy aroma, with a well-balanced taste. Mouthfeel great, very smooth, and drinkability excellent.

Served from a beer engine at Sean Bolans in Baltimore into a tulip pint glass. Nice creamy head from the hand pump and served at just the right temperature. Aroma has tons of floral characteristics from the hops. Taste is very smooth, hoppy, slightly malty. Has a nicely complex hop profile. On cask its a great beer, great thirst quencher. It was especially great after the sour red ale I had consumed before.
