Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is kind of mild, some coffee. Nothing mild about the taste, dark roasted malts, lots of strong coffee, alcohol is well hidden. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall, if you are a coffee lover, this beer is for you.

Pours almost black and has a nice balance between coffee and chocolate, neither being too predominant. Not bitter, with a bit of pleasant sweetness. Old Dominion calls this a full bodied stout, I would call it medium. I thoroughly enjoy this beer and find it a rather easy drinking stout that I seem to go back to.

Picked it up as part of a mixed 6. Outstanding beer, loved the malt, strong coffee but in a good way for me, who does not always care for the coffee stouts. The 9% was not boozy at all. Very good stout but not world class by any stretch.

Beer pours dark brown to black with a tan head. Chocolatey smells come at first with hints of espresso. The taste is much of the same, chocolate up front with the espresso layered in, not bitter, this stout is slightly sweet. The beer is a smooth drinker, not much alcohol present, and it falls about medium on the body, maybe a little less than desired on an imperial stout, but not too bad. This is a nice stout with no major flaws and some good flavors and balance. My only complaint really is that for an "espresso" stout, I don't get enough of that flavor, this beer makes me think chocolate stout first, but a good effort nonetheless.

Started my Sunday morning off with this. !2 ounce bottle poured into a 16 ounce coffee mug. Dark brown in appearance, like coffee, with a foamy, tan head. It settled after a little time into a little "froth" like the espresso it was flavored with.
You could smell roasted coffee along with sweetness, if it is possible to smell sweet. The smell belies what taste awaits. Roasted malts and sweetened coffee. A little cream perhaps as well.
The mouthfeel was a little thin for a double/imperial stout. I expect something a little "thicker when it comes to that style. Other than that, it was quite enjoyable. If it was available in my state, I would get this again. (Thanks to 302BeerGuy for sending me this!)
