A- pinkish orange with huge chunks of thick yeast sediment and a fluffy white head. The sediment is unappealing in this style and I ended up transferring glasses to remove most of it.

S- grainy pilsner, a touch of sulfur, light green apple and just a little fruitiness that isn't distinctly cherry.

T/M- pretty laid back and mellow flavor with some doughy grain and yeasty components giving a pizza crust character with a finish that's moderately full, syrupy and very lightly sweet and sour leaving a very light cherry taste in the finish.

O- I feel like I spent the entirety of this beer searching for cherry beyond the yeast clumps and doughy pilsner taste. Comes out as a fairly thick, moderately sweet lager. Not bad but not good for a fruit beer.

Poured chilled in shaker pint at home.

A: outstanding bloom, great carbonation, 3-finger head; ruddy dark pink color
S: A combination of excellent fruit aroma and stale metallic smell makes this a wash; no hop aroma
T: Cherry is very strong and flavorful--it's by far the most dominant element; hop taste is pretty minimal; sweet malt, lighter roast level; not bitter; little aftertaste, goes down nicely
M: very vigorous and engaging

For a fruit beer, I think this is excellent overall; if you're not a fan of the style, you won't be impressed

Picked up a bottle of this in Totowa, even though Cheery Blossom season is over here in New Jersey. I'm not a huge fan of this style but I wanted to give it a try and even though this didn't win me over or was as tart as I would have liked, it was sufficient enough for a warm afternoon such as this and better than most beers of this style that I've had before.

The pour to this was nice, with a golden hue, fluffy head, and a bit of lacing the slowly slid down the sides of my glass. A bit of cherries in the nose with a lot more syrup than I would have liked, but the flavor didn't fully come out until the aftertaste. This was bit too medicinal for me but the carbonation was light and the body was full enough that hops really weren't needed in this, and couldn't be discerned for the most part. This even tasted a bit woody, along the lines of birch or oak.

It was light in the alcohol department too, which would have been good if I grabbed more than one of these from the shelf. This wouldn't blow anyone over but those who like this style would be wise to check it out. It's so easygoing and true to form that it wouldn't offend anyone, even if there wasn't anything outstanding in particular to find here.
