Summer’s best flings have sweetness, spice and a little bit of bitterness. The key to the relationship, of course, is balance. Fling Pale Ale features all of these characteristics in each beautiful bottle: citrus and spice hop notes and a hint of caramel sweetness. The result is summer romance as memorable and fleeting as the season itself.

This beer is a very pale golden yellow with lots of clarity. A small white head pours out and fades after some time. Light lacing is left behind, and a steady remnant of head does remain.
There's a light hops note in the aroma backed by soft fruits and lightly complimented by grainy malts with a touch of lemon rind.
Hops are most forward in the flavor. It's not particularly strong but it is good, and balance from a dry malt is pretty good. There's a bit of a grassy note with lemon rind zest. There is a touch of something waxy lingering just underneath.
A light, pale body is pretty crisp but verges on overly carbonated. Otherwise, I expect this one to be light anyway and it does have some life to it. Overall I'd say it's semi-dry.

Pours a nice clean/clear golden yellow color, nice carbonation, nice one-finger fizzy white head, with some minimal sticky lacing left behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, very slight citrus. The taste is slighlty hoppy, with some nice malt notes, bitter, slightly sweet, a very slight touch of citrus. Medium body. Drinkable, a good one for a hot day.

A bright golden liquid fills the glass, topped by a small white head which quickly turns into a thin film and leaves very little lacing. Nice color, but otherwise dull looking.

A citric aroma is joined by some sweet malt. Clean and inviting.

The taste is crisp and clean, with lemon zest along with some sweet honey.

Fairly good mouthfeel, with a medium body and above average carbonation.

Overall this is a refreshing brew for a summer day. Nothing great going on, but solid in just about every category.

Clear golden color with a white head, a little suspension of orange looks nice. Nose is citric and hoppy. A little light overall, with pale sweet malts and toasted grains. Not a lot going on, pretty straightforward.

Flavor is crisp and hoppy. Floral and citric, with good pop in that area. Slight caramel note amongst the bready, biscuity malts. Herbs are a background player, with a hint of pepper. Mouthfeel is medium for style, nothing terribly exciting but pretty damn good on a hot, hot day.

12 oz. twist off bottle into a pint glass. Pours a deep straw/light golden with a touch of haze and offers a fleeting cap of foam that soon offers little more than a light surface ring.

Nose is of grain and some light citrus and peat hops Somewhat unrefined and neutral in nature, yet not negative in any way either and expanding a bit with warming.

Flavor is light with a pleasant background citrus component throughout. Relatively dry and coarse in feel, with a flash of sweetness on the finish, though not offering much in the bitterness department. Carbonation holds up better than the initial lack of foam might suggest and makes for a light and easy drinking pale, but one of little depth and character.

Very much a 'Light Ale' or perhaps 'Extra Pale' in character, and somewhat of an emerging style.

Poured from bottle to Sam Adams taster glass.

Color- Golden with a slight haze
.5 Finger head, not very impressive and the lacing was very light.
Smell- floral notes and peach
Taste- a little tart for me, citrus, hops, grapefruit
It is full flavored, but light in the mouth.
The finish is easy and clean.

This is an easy drinker, not overwhelming, but has some flavor.

The aroma features notes of citrus tea that carry through to the taste, but does not overwhelm. There is a great balance of the dry and sour notes on the palate. This is a very unique combination of flavors that sets it apart from most pale ales. Excellent choice for Spring/Summer.

A-Pours a crystal clear deep yellow color with a smallish medium white head that has ok to not so ok retention with pretty good lacing.

S-Has a very tropical fruity bright but light (not faint) hop aroma with a nice tropical sweet pale malt aroma as it warms. Very nice indeed.

T-The flavor is much like the aroma. A little sweet maltiness with lots of tropical hop fruitiness that probably is excentuated by the yeast used. Nice clean bitterness. Lots of fruity esthers. Very nice for a spring beer.

M-Nice medium yet almost silky body with a soft bitterness that lingers well.

D-Very very drinkable pale ale fo sho. You can session this all night fo sho.

Appearance - Very pale amber with a dense white head.

Smell & Taste - Pine, apricot, citrus, a touch of grapefruit and a syrup-like sweetness that blends with the alcohol. It's well balanced between the sweet and the bitter, with a nice clean finish. The sweetness gets more pronounced as it warms up.

Mouthfeel - Medium thickness with a crisp, brisk carbonation.

Notes - This is a good pale ale. There's nothing outstanding about it, but it's worth a try. I might buy it again if it's on sale.

I poured this hoppy beer into my tumbler at 45 degrees. The beer was a very nice golden color. The beer poured a big white foamy. pillow head and had great lacing. The taste was very hoppy and very dry, It almost made me thirsty drinking it. Too much hop for me I will not buy again.
