Tapwerks at Bricktown happened to be straight across the street from my hotel. Geez, what a coincidence. I've always heard mixed reviews about this place so figured I better see for myself. I did not try the food, but the menu is fairly standard bare bones pub eats - sandwiches, salads, and fried stuff. Place is not what I'd call a looker, but it's comfy enough. Bar is a bit high for my liking - or bar stools a bit short...yeah a first world problem of my own genetics. Beers? 212 taps on 2 floors and 100 bottle choices. A very good selection of Oklahoma brews here. Most everything else is pretty common, but did not see any of that "good ole boy honkytonk pool room swill" at this tap house. The bar is pretty good size and was filled with patrons. The barmaid was running her ass off, but doing a fine job. She wore a shirt that read "BEER SNOB" on the back and she knew her stuff well, not to mention perfect pours. I tipped her well! I had three Okie brews for $4 each. Good deal! I only have two REAL complaints. The copper flashed tap splash and bar top really needed a polishing as they looked neglected and...a little gross. A copper bar top? Okay then. I know beer should not be too cold, but it was almost 100F that day and I wasn't really down with the merely cool temps from the taps here. Will I go back? Certainly!

The beer selection here is arguably the best in OKC with 106 taps on each floor and lots of bottles. Only thing that I haven't loved about this place is the food, which isn't bad by an means but it's not amazing. Overall, this is a great beer bar with quality and quantity in their offered selection.

This bar is in a great location downtown, a short walk from the arena and in the heart of Bricktown.

The atmosphere is decent but not endearing at all. Very much a pub feel. Upstairs has a smoking area (haven't seen one of those in years) and overall the place is huge.

Tap selection was fantastic and the bottle list was decent too (relative to what is available in OKC). Didn't eat here, but the menu wasn't all that interesting so we went elsewhere for food.

Checked this place out on back to back nights while on a business trip to OKC. After taking the recommendations from others I felt like this was the best place to find some beers that I don't typically get in NY. The bar has a good atmosphere and of course college football was on because it was kick off weekend. The bartenders were pretty knowledgeable and were able to point me in the right direction for local choices. They had new beers from Boulevard, COOP, Choc and Roughtail (newer brewery in OK). Overall I was very pleased with the beer selection. The food was good, nothing over the top but good enough for me. I would definitely recommend checking this place out when in the area.

I like this place. they have a very good selection of beers for Oklahoma. The bar staff is knowledgable and the food is pretty damn good. They keep sports on the multiple screens and will even change the stations to accomodate the patrons. Sometimes the music is a bit much, but other than that, it's a good place to chill.

Stopped in Labor Day weekend on a Saturday 2pm-ish..

Some nod to beer, but more of just a really loud (even at 2 PM)place with tons of big screens. I like a a place where I can talk over a pint,, this aint the place. Had my kids with me when more than one profanity laced/racist rap rap/hip-hop song blares over the audio system. The waitress stated it was Pandora or some such music service, so they couldn't control the content. At that point I mentioned they could control the volume..

Waitress was attentive & somewhat smart on beer

Beers were alright, nothing wowed me. Selection was pretty good, but plenty of of wasted taps. I thought more OKlahoma & Regional beers should on offer based on what I know we get here

Food was alright, didn't enjoy my crab cakes (crappy) & or my pannini (meh), but my kids & wife liked their's

Pricey for what you get, not sure why Bricktown really rates these prices (rent???)

Would visit again without my kids, when looking for a not quiet pint (never got a full pint o for 3) , but would not seek out

I stay in bricktown frequently for business and tap werks is my go to place for beer, food is not why you come here although republic and mcnellies in okc both prove you can have good beer with good food.

The service is good, the bar tenders are hit or miss with beer knowledge, sometimes 106 taps are too much for one person to handle.

There are always beers on tap that I can't find at home that are must tries which keeps me coming back. I almost always find someone at the bar to chat with the customer base is very friendly.

The odd thing about the taps is that those in the center are colder than those on the ends. Maybe it's due to the length of the lines, I'm told the cooler is on the second floor.

My real gripe is in glass ware, I've had Weiss served in a pint glass, pint glasses are not 16oz ever and pours are always short with way too much head, I've also been served "pints" in 12 oz Sam Adams glasses, worst of all is I've had "12 oz" beers served in 25 cl glasses, which is about 8.5 ounces.

Maybe it's me but if you charge for 16 oz or 12 oz you should serve that amount.

My quandary is that it has the best beer within walking distance to my hotel especially with OK's nutty 3.2 rules.

First off let me start by saying this used to be one of my favorite bars in Oklahoma City. It has a great location in Bricktown that was a perfect stop before Thunder games. That was until my opinion drastically changed over the last several months. On one occasions I ordered a beer that is listed on the menu as on tap, only to be brought a bottle of the beer. When I asked if I was mistaken about what the menu had said the waitress told me that they were out of it on tap and there was no difference between tap and bottle anyway! On another occasion I ordered a St. Bernardus abt. 12 and was served it in a plastic cup! Yeah $7.50 for a plastic cup. The bartenders are the worst part. They know absolutely nothing about beer nor do they care to know anything about it either. The food is ok at best and they charge to get to get in the door after 7 on Friday and Saturday nights. If you are looking for a good place that you can actually get good beer from someone who actually cares about beer in OKC check out mcnellies or republic and skip all the rude people at Tapwerks.
