So i finally decided to drink some of this after IceAce and the Longbeachbum told me they found it quite good. (i'm not much of an amber fan. I've had fat tire and didnt much care for it. Alaskan amber was better but again, really didnt pique my interest)
I poured my bottle into a pint glass and the brew showed a solid light ice-tea held up to the sun color with a light dose of ivory colored head. The nose was quite bready with hints of sweetness to it. The taste, well, was surprisingly tasty. A good mix of biscuity bread with hints of malt, toffee and some hops to carry it. A well rounded and flavorful brew. The body filled my palate and i found this brew refreshing and quite crisp.
I have to say i honestly like this brew. Could i have rated it a 4 because after talking to IceAce and LBB, i was thinking "well, i know i wont care much for it"... then ended up liking it, thus rating it higher? I dont know. But i do know i like and wish i had more bottles of it now. I'll get some soon.

This pours with an attractive foamy head on the handsome golden amber brew. Smooth and light. I would think this would be a sports bar favorite.
Just enough malt to be able to taste, and a touch of fruity hops with just a suggestion of bitterness. And finally, the smooth carbonation adds to the drinkability. A faint buttery taste with a little mustiness. Just a whiff of grain and a wee tangy note. Maybe some caramel. The flavors are so modest there is not much to like here.
Not much to this stuff but it goes down easy. Current label says ABV is 5.5%. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bine & Vine in San Diego.

On tap at Field Of Drafts held at The Hanger in Lancaster, CA.
Pours a clear orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, biscuit, and caramel aromas. Taste is much the same with malt and biscuit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty and smooth.
