12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Bottle generously provided by jodan as an extra, thanks Jordan!

A - Pours an amber color with a golden burst of flare around the edges. The head is small and understated, only about a finger high and poor retention, but the consistency is a nice fluff. The lacing more than makes up for the head formation, with generous coating. The body itself is rather clear with slow, lackadaisical bubbles making up the carbonation.

S - The nose on this beer is much more malty than I would've thought given the name, to the point where it even begins to outshine the hops. In fact, the hops are hard to discern, but when they do come through, it is a spicy, floral smell.

T - The taste is much of the same of the nose, unfortunately, as the malts are much too prominent. By the time the malt, raisins, and brown sugar of the malts subside, the only flavors that the hops generate are some light citrus and bitterness. Again, the hops are spicy and earthy, and the finish even manages to bring some slight alcohol heat. As the beer finishes, I'm getting some of that grape bubblegum that I sometimes get from malty pilsners.

M - Mouthfeel is moderately heavy with medium-to-low carbonation. The body is somewhat sticky and syrupy, and the malts combined with this lends this beer to be a compared to a weak barleywine in my eyes.

D/O - Drinkability is low. I understand trying to brew a balanced IPA, but tipping that see-saw to overshadow the IPAs is just wrong. Epic is probably not the first thing, or second, or third or.... I'd use to describe this beer. This one is a miss for me.

Poured bomber into New Belgium globe

A-The pour is hazed orange copper with a smallish off white head. Had spotty lacing.

S-The aroma is faint floral hops along with cracker malt, grapefruit and resin.

T-The taste is a pleasant blend of the dry floral, softly bitter hops and the cracker toasted malt.

M-The mouthfeel is medium to light bodied with good carbonation and a clean dry softly bitter mineral finish.

O-Overall I was surprised by this beer with all the average reviews, nice aromas, taste, and mouthfeel. It would definitely ask for this one again.

Pours a clear orange with a foamy orange-tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with grapefruit juice and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a tasty citrus forward hop presence that makes this one easy to drink.

A: Translucent copper orange with a white head.

S: Tropical fruit, mango, pineapple, passionfruit, papaya in the nose.

T: Pine comes out up front in the taste, followed by orange, papaya, pineapple, grapefruit peel and maybe a little mango. Some malt as well, but the hop character is much stronger.

M: Medium bodied and smoothish.

O: One of the best IPAs I've ever had. This is an amazing brewery from what I can tell. I'll have to visit it sometime.
