I should've visited this place before. Located just off I-287 (near The Westchester, that big mall there), they've got 40 taps and a cask (The cask was Fullers London Pride which I've never seen anywhere before on cask). They were also pouring the Saw Mill River Brewery's Pale Ale, which I haven't seen elsewhere either.
Okay, here's what I can tell you about the bottled beer selection because I know there's been some talk. The website shows a list that has some stuff that is very very dated (beers from long defunct breweries). The list they have there on site is not as bad as all that. Still, they do list every beer that New England makes and they ain't been around for a few years now, but I can't say when that list was last updated or that they actually attempt to move real old beers. They do post beer promos and beer night specials and they have a good menu and we had no complaints about the food. I'd like to get back there sometime soon and dig through the bottled list some if I can get past the taps.

This jawn was so much better than what I expected. Located right in downtown White Plains, parking is not too hard to find.

Lazy Boy is sandwiched between a bunch of other pubs, bars and restaurants. It is like the Restaurant Row of White Plains. The wife and I sat outside at the sidewalk tables, kind of nice despite the road traffic and the sirens blaring.

The draft list is rather massive: 53 taps, plus bottles. Allagash White, Bell's Two Hearted, Brew Bus, Dogfish 90, Coronado Sock Knocker, Dogfish Birra and Midas Touch, Elysian Sub Pop, Evil Twin Falco, Founders Double Trouble, Thirsty BB Siberian, Nimkasi Quantum, Stillwater Why Can't IBU?... the bottle list didn't show anything outrageously interesting, and they do charge sixteen dollars for Goose Island Bourbon County.

Service was nice and prompt and the bar food was alright. Jalapeno poppers, why not. I don't expect to be back in White Plains often, but if I am, I will certainly stop here again.

Good burgers and other pub fare.
Great craft beer selection. Probably the best in the area, usually around 40+ on tap.
Prices are good for the area.
Overall, the place is a little dark, even at lunch. But If your in the area it's worth a try, especially if you are in to specialty beers.

The food is the downside to this bar, located a few blocks from the malls in White Plains. Very good beer selection. Plenty on draft and a lot more in bottles.

The bar does get very loud and it's sometimes hard to get a drink at the bar. Table service is good (when you can get a table).

Kicking myself for not having tried this place out sooner. Really nice selection of taps and a very nice bottle menu as well. It's a drinking bar, plain and simple. Didn't try any food as I had just come from an excellent dinner around the corner at the Argentinian Steakhouse. If you're expecting to get a beer education from the wait staff forget it (as other reviewers have stated). The simple question of how many taps they had was met with a blank stare....and that was the bartender. She knew absolutely nothing about what she was serving. It wasn't a busy night, and she never once asked me if I wanted something else. But, if you know your beers or are just inclined to throw a virtual dart at the beer menu and try something, you can't go wrong. I was there during Kona Brewery's tap take over (6 taps) and I got lei'd...

The first time I stumbled upon the Lazy Boy Saloon I was taken completely by surprise. Situated in the midst of over-priced pubs and late night clubs, I found this place to be a refreshing option. This place has a consistently great taplist and a deep (although not well tracked and updated) cellar. The prices are quite reasonable for the area and the quality of the beer they serve. I try to make a stop here every time I'm in the area. Definitely worth checking out.

This is my go-to place in White Plains for good beer, and I would safely say this is one of those places that served good beer before it was as "popular" as it is now..I think they opened in 1994 or 1997. Really great selection of craft brews on tap that are always changing...there must be at least 20 on tap at any given time. Great bottle selection, including rare vintages.
Food is decent pub-style food, but I think they were voted best wings in Westchester at some point since their doors opened...

My only real complaint is I wish they kept their beer menu up-to date. They only update it seemingly every 45 days or so! They never have the same selection in-house as they do on-line.
So Lazy Boy staff..dont be so Lazy and update your beermenus.com page more often!!
