This is a fresh harvest style IPA brewed with locally sourced Cascade, Chinook and Nugget hops from the Organarchy farm in Cumberland, MD and our very own Manor Hill Hop Yard. We also included a 95% locally sourced malt bill. The result is an extremely unique local IPA that comes in at 70 IBUs. It will pour a light copper color body crowned by a fluffy white head. This brew is very aromatic with loads of pine and spicy hops in the nose. We added bag after bag of wet hops into the tanks to provide you with a resinous and dank hop profile that builds to the back of your throat while still maintaining a smooth drinkability.

Citra Splendor left me totally non-plussed, but this is a new brewery - they deserve more than one chance. And sadly, the nose isn't wowing me. The fresh hops are extremely mild, bringing faint twinges of tropical fruit at best. This seems far more malty, with nondescript notes of caramel and toast. Tasting it...yeah, where are the hops exactly? I taste strong notes of pretzel and caramel, with a generic finishing sweetness. Hops are nearly nonexistent. A wet hop ale with the hopping character of a macro-brewed amber ale, seriously guys? It's gonna take a lot for Manor Hill to redeem themselves to me...but it's definitely possible. This could be pretty good with far more hop flavor.
