A - Gold, Yellow, Orange, white head and then no head. It appears to have very little carbonation.

S - Banana, clove, sweet grains

T- Wheat, banana, clove. Not as sweet as it smells.

M- Watery and then the little bit of carbonation that is in my beer kind of zaps the tip of the tongue.

O - This is a good beer to drink after you've already had a few beers.

This beer poured out as a yellowish color with a white head on top. The head settles into a light film over top of the beer. The lacing is scattered. The smell of the beer is on the stronger side, not as soft smelling as some wheat beers. The aroma smelled a bit like citrusy fruits. The taste of the beer is a slightly citrus like flavor too. The mouthfeel was light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Overall I wasn't too thrilled about this beer. I wouldn't seek it out again.

ST: 12oz poured into a weizen glass.

A: Very cloudy dark honey orange with a thin white head that settles into a ring against the sides of the glass.

S: mild banana, bread, citrus orange, and fig.

T: Lots of orange upfront, sweeter notes of bread meld into fig and biscuit on the finish.

M: On the lighter side of medium body and drier.

O: A lighter wheat beer that lacks some of the full flavor of its German cousins, Wisteria wheat is refreshing and dry. It is a restrained and light. It is not bad, but it is not as good as other wheat bears.

Good looking medium gold, cloudy gold color. Make sure you shake the bottle, before you pour all of the beer, so you can get all the yeast out of the bottle. The white bubbly head dissipates fast, minimal lacing.
Smell is of wheat, yeast, banana and orange.
Taste is banana and fruit in the front, tart and yeast being the middle, and the finish has clove and more tart.
Medium bodied beer, very refreshing and drinkable. Good job.

355ml bottle bought from GapWines, Belfast

Poured a hazy orange yellow colour... White head poured quite foamy then faded quickly to very thin layer....quite a lot of big carbonation bubbles... some light patchy lacing...

Aroma - Nice spicy fruitiness (apples, pears, light orange), salty notes, some yeastiness, light coriander just coming through, grassy, hay, light vanilla notes...

Taste - Nice lemon and spicy apple fruitiness, light orange peel, decent wheatiness, floral, barely any malts, light creamy vanilla sweetness, coriander is more pronounced than in the aroma...

Feel - Very smooth and creamy... Light / medium body. Fairly drinkable and refreshing - would be good on a hot summer day...

Overall - A decent enough witbier... Nothing groundbreaking but well worth a try...

A: Pours a very hazy golden orange color with a thin white head on top. Retention is poor, with dissipation to some splotchy white foam on top. Not much lacing either.

S: A rather spicy aroma, with some pepper and nutmeg. There is some bready malt and some faint citrus.

T: Somewhat similar to the aroma. Not much banana, more of an orange flavor. There is a good bit of bready malt and some light spice.

M: Light to medium bodied, finishes rather dry though.

O: A decent hefe, a little drier than I would prefer, but easy drinking nonetheless.

Straw colored and a bit hazy. No head whatsoever but lots of carbonation.
The smell is bananas and lemon which is exactly like it tastes as well. Missing the clove and has a bit too much lemon.
In spite of the heavy carbonation it has a creamy feel.
Overall a decent Hefe, for the price it is a very good deal.

On-tap at Capital Ale House.

Cloudy yellow in appearance. Minimal head. Aromas of bannanas dominates the aroma and also the flavor. Sweet bannana and a bit of spice cross the palate. Mouthfeel is decent. Nothing very complex here, but the end result is a smooth, very drinkable hefe.

The beer poors a wonderful cloudy wheat straw yellow with a rocky white head. The aroma was light but of malt and citrus. The taste was similarly malt and citrus with hint of melon in the finish. The feel was light and somewhat bubbly. I was there for the first tapping of this beer and I plan on going back for more.

The beer pours with a thin, whine head that is two fingers tall. It fades quickly into the lightest lacing possible. The thing I like most about the appearance, is the beautiful golden color that is hazy with a slight fade to orange at the top/middle. That is pretty much picture perfect for a wheat beer.

There is a sweet tone to the aroma of citrus, mostly oranges but some lemon. A nice balance of wheat with the sweetness. The taste is quite similar to the smell. However, there is a subtle swing of sour that I enjoy. I have never been much into sour beer, but I think it works in this sweet start/sour finish wheat. Crisp mouthfeel with a generous tingle from the carbonation. Very light body, probably too light. It is almost like water.

Overall, two thumbs up. I'm not sure I have ever enjoyed a Fordham, but this one was really good. I might have to give the brewery another chance. Anyway, I recommend this one on a really hot/humid day or after a long day of work.

A - For a beer 5+ months old I expected some sediment floaties. Head is just a mild lace ring atop a hazy bright yellow.

S - Banana's, clove, touch of fruity yeasts. Everything I expect in the style.

T - Not very spicy which is pretty nice since it can sometimes be overwhelming. Has more of a 'over ripe' banana thing going on. Supporting yeast is mild and fruity with little to no hops. Not bad.

M - Light to medium. Is actually fairly carbonated for its age.

Overall not a bad summer beer sampled in the fall. I could see myself drinking a six pack of this if I was a bigger fan of the style.

Great Fordham summer refresher. It has a great cloudy appearance with that same hazed-over golden yellow that so many Bavarian-inspired hefes are. Muted citrus aromas. A sweet yet somewhat tangy flavor greets the tongue -- not terribly complicated, but the flavors just aren't quite as pronounced as some of the "biggies" of the style. Good, but not great. Very refreshing, however, and exceptionally drinkable.
