12oz brown bottle.

Pale golden hue, lacing stays around long enough. Hint of buttery yeast, faint sulphur as well with a semi-clean graininess in the nose. Just enough crispness, a bit more body than needed. Odd sweetness, faint fruitiness and buttery tone. Somewhat balanced but not enough to make it super drinkable. A decent lager but it need to be cleaned up a bit, a tad dryer as well.

Not a destination beer by any stretch, yet a satisfying quaff on a hot summer's day sitting on the back porch at Ram's Head in Severn.

Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a rich golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, grains. Taste is crisp, grains, malts, touch of sweetness, highly drinkable. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall a good thirst quencher.

355ml bottle served cool into a tulip glass

Look: Quite a bit darker than your typical lager - almost looks like an IPA or similar. Thin, white head which bubbled away to virtually nothing fairly quickly. The end result looks like ... flat lager.

Smell: Has a sharp, grainy smell - not unpleasant in itself, but very much like a typical lager. Nothing particularly special going on here, although it gets a few grassy aromas if it warms up a bit.

Taste: Sharp graininess but not a lot else. If there's any hop character here then it's very well hidden.

Feel: Crisp, slightly dry and not too heavy. Fairly easy drinking if you're into that kind of thing. Definitely more of a 'summery' drink. The carbonation helps to add a bit of an edge to it.

Overall: Really can't get excited about this, although in the interests of full disclosure it's probably worth pointing out that stouts, porters and Belgian beers are more my thing. As lagers go, it's not bad, but it's not brilliant either - definitely a cut above the usual macro rubbish though.
