Clean & refreshing, this Bavarian style lager uses four different German grains & three hop varieties to create an intricate flavor profile & a beautiful deep golden color. Helles is brewed in the style of Munich’s everyday drinking beer. Prost!

The beer pours a medium amber, with a bountiful fluffy white head. Very nice. Light haziness.
Aroma is malty and clean, with a touch of german or saaz hops. No esters, but a very light breadiness. Simple and effective.
Flavor is clean and malty, with a bit of toasted malt and a mild hoppy sharpness at the very end of the sip. Clean defined flavors. Understated and well done.
I usually like helles lager, and this one's a very well done interpretation, better than most american brewed versions, and even a couple german ones.

Had this on tap at Yesterdays here in Newport. Asked the bartender to suggest something light and this is what he gave me. He told me, "Its actually a Lager" and I shuttered.

Poured with an ample head. Nose is of wheat and malt. Full, crisp, light flavor of malting, wheaty up front then retreating to the back of the palate. This beer is extremely drinkable and I would have it again as a thirst quencher. Nice and light.

Quite simply the best lager I've ever tasted (but this come from a non-lager drinker!). Enjoy.

Pours a clear and bright golden color. The white colored head dies quickly. On the nose the aroma is a bit grainy, slight biscuity, subtle bitterness from the hops. On the palate the flavor has a nice subtle bitterness, grainy, herbal, very light Vienna and Munich malt character adds a good balance. Fairly clean finish with a slight sweet and bitterness on the tongue. Over all this brew is a bit simplistic but however it is very drinkable though...

Crystal clear yellow lager with big head that disappears but leaves lace on side of glass. Excellent authentic German nose, musty hints and bready malts. Sharp tasting beer, thin with appropriate helles accessibility but not especially refreshing and not at all complex. Beer mellows and improves as it warms, and the malts come out to play. A decent US micro lager, probably better when it's absolutely fresh.

Golden hue w/ excellent clarity. Quickly receding head leaves a spotty coating of bubbles. The grainy, bready base malt sweetness in aroma coupled w/ a lightly floral Mittelfruh hop nose. The somewhat prosaic flavor picks up where the aroma leaves off and is comprised of grainy notes & a generic white bread sweetness. Hop bitterness, although mild, appropriate balances the light malt sweetness. Lightly bodied, w/ an agreeable mouthfeel that lends good drinkability. Hop flavor is expectedly subdued, but a hint of herbal / floral Hallertauer is discernible. Finishes neutral, w/ a light residual sweetness briefly coating the tongue. This is a decent Helles at best, and is a bit one dimensional & overly simplifed. Subtle malt nuances characteristic of a good helles were lacking. It's quite quaffable, however.
