Had on tap while in Baltimore. Review from notes.

A- Came to me a deep copper amber with some lighter red hues to it. One finger white head shows medium retention. Light streaks of lace are left on the glass when I drink this beer.

S- Citrus hops come out first in the aroma. Nothing over the top with the hops but used in a nice full body aroma kind of way if that makes sense. Caramel malts show up in the ending of the beer to balance out the hop presence. A nice smelling beer without being over the top.

T- Citrus hops come out in the front of the beer like in the aroma. Some bitter hops do come out in the ending of the front half which balanced out the sweetness of the citrus hops. The caramel malts come into play in the backhalf of the beer which balanced hops. The hops show up a little bit in piney flavor in the ending with a hint of warming alcohol.

M- Medium mouthfeel. Carbonation was good for the style. Citrus hops and light caramel malts are left on the palate. Aftertaste is light alcohol, caramel malts, and hitns of piney hops mixed with citrus hops. Flavors were very well balanced for the style and beer as a whole. No off flavors at all while drinking this beer. Light to medium alcohol drying on the palate.

O- This beer was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't expecting a whole lot out of this beer to be honest. The ABV was there but didn't detract from the overall flavor of the beer. I did really enjoy this one and will be looking for more when I get back to the area.

A: It has a dense, musky, and burnt orange color to it.

S: Had an orange, lemon and biscuit scent.

T: Citrusy and hoppy with a caramel malt flavor.

M: A medium bodied beer with medium carbonation.

O: I really like how well rounded this beer is, especially the caramel malt flavors it brought out. It's more enjoyable on a cooler day.

Bottle > Lagunitas Mason Jar

A - Pours a murky rust color, very thing head, but lacing is decent. A little yeas floating around in there.
S - Huge malt attack! Sweet malty aromas front of the nose, but followed by really grassy and earthy hop scents, kinda smells like a home brew.
T - Same as the aroma, malt blend up front coming at the end with the bitter hops, pine, a little mint.
M - Good feel to this beer, nice aftertaste, not too clingy from all the malts in this.
O - Solid effort by Fordham, a great malted up APA, that is full of good flavor, would love to revisit this beer again.

Part of the BOTMC package that arrives at the doorstep. Popping the top I get a malty red licorice smell with any hopping seemingly over powered. Anticipate a nice malt bomb. Pours to a barely translucent bright orange with a thin tan head that quickly disapates. Upon tasting, I am first hit with a nice heavy yet almost micro-carbonated mouthfeel. The taste then starts with some molasses and lots of caramel transitioning to black licorice, all the while accompanied by a funky yet intriguing bitterness that carries throughout and becomes chaulky in the finish. This brew was definitely hopped big early in brewing and it carried through well. A good brew that flirts between an ESB and a brown ale and has good bang for the buck.
