My favourite Fordham brew thus far!
Pours a lighter than expected, hazy golden colour with a reasonable white head that has good retention. Resiny aroma has a very mild caramelized malt back-bone, with piney hops and candied tropical fruit at the forefront. The 7.5% ABV is scarily well hidden and there is only a hint of alcohol warmth in this finish. Malt sweetness rapidly transitions to a "west coast" hop burst before an abrupt bitterness.
I like it, but not suited for those looking for "subtle"...

Enjoyed this 12oz bottle out of a Belgian tulip glass
A: Pours a clear light copper hue with a 3-finger, white, frothy head that slowly dissipates leaving a nice trail down the side of the glass and ending in a huge lace.
S: Malty caramel aroma with a decent earthy hop background..
T: Tastes more like a imperial ipa than a regular ipa. Equal mix of sweet malt up front followed by bitter hops. Caramel malt background with that earthy hop flavor and finishes slightly dry.
M: Medium body and carbonation
O: Decent IPA – worthy of a try.

Bottle > Pint Glass
A - Cloudy orange gold a finger of off white head, light spotty lacing.
S - Really weird aroma, very soapy, somewhat floral, sour orange and lemon.
T - Some sour orange and lemon, light pine, and on the end there's a lot of soapy kind of taste, some light spice too, rye and pepper, in the end.
M - Dry, thin, and very soapy.
O - No thanks. will not have again.

Tried to "had" this beer tonight and noticed it wasn't here. Going from memory..
A - Cloudy orange color with a small off white head. Fairly average.
S - Smell was nice. Lots of pine and grass. A bit of Lemon.
T - Nice bitter beer. Some grapefruit up front and a good bitter finish.
M - Lightly carbed, but heavier body. No alcohol at all, really drinkable.
O - Had this back to back with Long Trail double, and everyone preferred the Fordham. Take that for what it's worth. I liked it, and will get it on tap to try it again if I see it around.

Poured from a traditional style cask spout into a dimpled mug
A- very light in color. Moderately good head retention.
S- smell is absolutely amazing! Grapefruit, pine explosion!!! It has a sweetness lingering on the nose as well...
T- awesome citrus flavor with a smooth maltiness...
M- feels smooth in my mouth due to the low carbonation. Very drinkable despite the 7.5% abv.

Poured into DFH IPA glass; translucent, light orange-yellow with a moderate white head that fades into a lovely ring of foam that leaves incredibly fine lacing rings.
Smell is dank herbal hops, some tropical fruit and citrus, hint of pine and bitterness.
Taste is bitter, piney and herbal. No fruity hops detected, despite the fruity nose. Hint of bitter citrus rind perhaps, but that's about it. Hops destroy any malt flavor as well. Finishes dry with lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel is minimal, smooth and dry.
Overall, not the kind of IPA I'm a fan of. It's all bitterness, not much actual flavor. Not bad if that's your kind of IPA though.
