good beer, served in the standard giant oversized pint glasses that the ram is known for, I had two, because they did not have an IPA but this red is good.
the color was a roasted red almost auburn.
the dark amber ale was a crisp taste and very little lingering effect.

Bought at The Ram in Salem, Oregon. Don't know where it was brewed. Poured clear copper with a one finger white head. Good amount of lacings. Aroma is citrus-floral hops.
Taste is citrus grapefruit bitter hops with a good malt presence.
Right on the money for an IPA. Maybe a touch sweeter due to some extra malts. Nice dry bitter finish. Drinkability is quite good but do not know the abv.

Big Red, fresh growler from the Brewery split into pint glasses.
A: Coppery-orange color, slightly hazy, with a good, foamy white head.
S: Smells of light pine, spices, citrus and orange...definite biscuit character here. Smells moderately bitter, too.
T: Dry and biscuity here, too...dry pine, grassy notes, slight herbal spices.
MF: Pretty light mouthfeel with good drying bitterness (not West Coast but still nice). Decent carbonation from the growler pour.
O: I like this beer much better now that when I had it at the brewery. Maybe the recipe got tweaked, or maybe the temperature played a role. Either way, decent Idaho PA.
