Visited on a recent trip to No. Cal. on 11/30

Took a trip out to Fort Bragg - because I wanted to hit the brew pub and because the girlfriend wanted to see the town. Sadly, we didn't see much of the town, but ate and drank well at this brewery!
Two different rooms, dining and the pub. Pub is where we sat, full of little seats, typical pub looking - wood stools and tables. Nice friendly and timely service. There isn't an extensive menu - mostly your basic pub menu type food but with a Northern Cal twist on it - I got the Mark's north beach special (which was sort of like an italian) and my girlfriend got the pulled pork. Both were quite tasty. 12 beers on tap so I got to try some new stuff and HAD to get Old Raspy on tap!
I'd visit this place again!

Ambiance: Good place
Service: took some time before we were able to get the servers attention, long time to get bill- slow and confused
Selection: Good beer selection
Value: a bit pricey food
Overall: beers are good but not the food

Amazingly beautiful locale in Fort Bragg, CA, this is pretty much like most of the town, right on the seashore.

Always a little chilly here, no matter what time of year.

Selection is the same stuff on the shelf at Safeway. Food is far more expensive than the quality. The staff generally don't know much about the beers. Or why there are no brewpub only selections more often than not.

Bar is real cool decor wise as well, but ultimately, their gift shop is expensive, their food is expensive, nothing to see here. I'll always like Red Seal and Old Raspy, but damn if there isn't any reason to go to this place.

A very scenic and very relaxing drive through redwood forests and then one comes out right on the coast. A good place to go to on the north coast, with a very good selection of beers!

Very cool spot in downtown Fort Bragg. Food here is amazing, oysters and fish and chips are my favs.

Not a huge lineup of beers but what they do, they do very well.

Also never any brewery exclusives or one-offs. Don't even have BA Old Rasputin on tap.

All their beers you can buy in the store, so the only reason to come here if for the restaurant.

So this place is a bit on the pricey side but you really do get what you pay for. The location is amazing, situated just feet from the Pacific Ocean. The town of Fort Bragg has this strange sense of community and when I walked in to the brewery I felt that same sense of community. There were all different types of people and they were all friendly and quick to start a conversation. This brewery makes the best dark and malty bold beers that I've had.

Cheers
