Well, Mariestads is like Budweiser or something (in Sweden). It's something that everyone drinks, but it doesn't taste much.
Light golden color with a large white head that leaves some lacing on the glass.
Smells, almost nothing, a bit citrusy and some hops.
The taste is hops, light bitterness and some sweetness. Much carbonation, maybe to hide some bad flavours?
Well, works with some everyday-food, but I won't have this one again. (At least I won't pay for it)

Mariestad (owned by Spendrup) has worked up a reputation as one of Swedens best macro breweries. Sommarbrygd is a pimped version of Mariestad's ordinary lager but with a little more alcohol and hops. Thin, bitter and nothing to write home about. I don't know why they bother...

The colour is gold; the three finger white compact head sinks slowly leaving some lacing.
The smell is a bit dense; lots of malt with roasted hints. Some sweet notes, a mild bitter notes and a slight note of wet paper (typical for the Mariestads beer brand).
The taste is sweet and malty. Some mild roasted notes and metallic hints of aroma hops. The aftertaste is a bit sweet with chemical sour-bitter flavours; some lime and paper-flavours.
The liquid is very think; the carbonation medium strong with small bubbles.
Thick, sourish and unbalanced. Next, please!
