Brown bottle of 330 ml, bought at IKEA, Duiven. Label is exactly the same as the Ol Ljus Lager, only with the colours reversed. ABV is 4,7%. Poured into a lager glass.

Very dark amber colour, with a nce two finger beige, creamy head. Very good retention and average lacing left behind. No activity in the glass.
Aroma is sweet, with very obvious caramel notes.
Taste is light roasted malts and some caramel as well. A bit metallic.
Medium body and light carbonation.
Again, nothing to be really impressed, but quite drinkable.

330ml bottle BBD 07 Aug 2013: poured into an 'Augustijn' badged chalice on a snowy, cold 22 Mar 2013 at home while the wife has her nails painted.

Looked fine: nice reddy brown body with a good, full head of tan coloured foam on top. Looked away and the lovely head had done a runner to be replaced by a wispy covering and a collar.

Rich aroma of plum pudding and Christmas style warmth. Malty notes get stronger as the beer warmed in the glass and the richness faded from the initial Christmassy, plum smells.

The taste wasn't great from the start, malty but thin and weak, a bit sickly sweet as well. A metallic and coffee feel arrived towards the end of the drink and this didn't sit well with the sweetness at all. A little too carbonated for me: too fizzy for a decent beer.

330ml bottle. Lager glass. Enjoyed on jan´13. Coke color, clear appearance. Off-white froth & brief crown. Artificial aromas - sweeteners & stabilizers - provide burnt candy aromas & hints of coffee. Malt extract both in flavors & aromas. Coffee infusion & liquid sugar at first sip. Low bitterness. Light body. Medium to heavy carbonation. Watery texture. Dry astringent finish. Easy to forget. Calling this expensive beverage a beer is a joke.

Got it from Ikea in Greece.

A - It is same as coca cola, maybe a bit lighter. Lots of bubbles with thin light foam. A bit ruby, but really,if i didn't know,i would tout it is coca cola.
S - Caramel malt with lots of adjuncts.
T/M - Watery,caramel,lots of it,carbonated and unpleasant bitter finish.

O - I really didn't liked Ikea Epl,so i didn't expect to much from dark lager. It is bad,but overall not so bad.
