This big hop forward ale is filled with an abundance of dank, citrusy American hops. The hop flavor created will last all the way to the dry finish of this refreshing beer. A big beer like this can be a Slippery Slope if not enjoyed responsibly.

12oz can purchased from Greenville Beer Exchange poured into a paper cup courtesy of the Hampton Inn in Charleston, SC. No freshness date (damn, I forgot to check before buying).
Pours a reddish golden color with a small white-ish head. Head retention is not great and the foam subsides into a small collar around the outside with a little island of foam and bubbles residing in the center.
Aroma is extremely piney and somewhat malty. Smells kind of like its old and not fresh, because the hop aroma isn't bright, kind of muddled. Alcohol is noticeable in the nose as well. Based on the aroma alone, I don't have high hopes.
Hops are a little more present in the flavor. Nice juicy hop flavor up front with some strong caramel background. The beer is kind of one dimensional, however, and not overly complex. Alcohol is big in the flavor too.
Super thin on the body with no real chewiness or dimension. Not really a fan of this one. I guess it has decent balance but none of it comes together to make this one memorable. I would pass on this one in the future. Below average.

Beautifully clear, dark amber body topped with a thick, sudsy head; small patches of foam inside the glass.. Fair aroma; pine resin. Spicy, bitter taste; lots of pine resin on the palate riding atop a low-key malt base; caramel; outstanding hop bitterness lasting long past the finish. Medium body; crisp and stinging on the palate; a tad sticky; dry mouthfeel throughout.
This is a a classic, straight-forward west coast double IPA offering. The brewers created a beauty here! Very pleasing and tasty complexity and depth with a bold, hop-forward presence. The aroma is rather weak, but the taste and mouthfeel are up there in the major leagues.

12 oz can from ATL with a 19 September 2018 canning date stamp on the 'label'.
Pours hazy, deep orange-amber with a large, bone colored, creamy head that has excellent retention.
This unfiltered DIPA poured clear, initially, then cloudy as the sediment laden bottom 1/3 came out. The flavor is bold but well balanced; mildly bitter for style. Grassy and citrus notes with fainter pine.
Feel: full, smooth body with medium carbonation.
Overall: an excellent DIPA.

8.0 ABV - 80 IBU. 12 oz can poured into my favorite beer glass.
A: Hazy orange, 1" off white foam that slowly recedes to a fine lace.
S: Big hops, slight malt backbone, citrus & pine with a whisp of floral and biscuit.
T: As expected, lightly malt Hop bomb, citrus and pine crisp and refreshing, long hop finish!
M: Mid to low end full mouthfeel, Hop resiny after the swallow.
O: Not for the faint of heart! Great for hopheads that prefer a 2x that is not overly dark/malty.
I Will definitely have this one again!
