A - Didn't have the head retention I would expect from a hefe. Hazy gold color with orange highlights. Low carbonation could be the reason head retention was not great. (This was a growler fill, so very dependent on place I got it from)
S - What, spice, clove, esters.
T - The wheat really stands out, but there are also flavors of clove, ripe banana, light citrus, with a slight bubble gum.
M - Light and refreshing, could use some more carbonation but it wasn't there. Again, from a growler so dependent upon distributor.
D - Like the mouthfreel, it is light and refreshing. This is perfect for a summer day or after working outside when you not only want a beer but want something refreshing.

I drank this one on the bank of the mighty Danube in Regensburg in September 2023, having purchased it at the local Rewe Getrankemarkt the day before.
L: Thick, Apricot nectar orange. Big, fluffy white head. No carbonation was seen through the murk.
S: Yeasty and spicy. I detected none of the expected clove or banana sweetness.
T: A touch of clove and banana but otherwise quite mild.
M: Full and creamy.
O: It was a little underwhelming, surprising so, given how hot it was, how far I had walked that day, and how refreshing a Hefeweizen is meant to be.
Cheers!

0.5 L Can
Glass: 0.5 L Weizen Vase
ABV: 5.4%
Look:
Cloudy/opaque gold that comes across as a burnished golden copper. I can see the shadows of my fingers through the narrow part when held up to a light. A 2-finger off white head slowly dissipates leaving good lacing.
Smell:
Bananas and citrus fruits with a good dose of fruit sugar or honey. Some wheat dough. There are very mild spice note that are mostly in the background.
Taste:
Follows the nose. The spices (mostly allspice) are a shade or two more pronounced here. Very well balanced though a tad on the sweet side as most Hefeweizens are.
Feel:
Smooth and creamy. The body is solidly medium.
Overall:
A solid hefeweizen that hits all of the right notes and hits them well. Tasty and refreshing. A great spring and early summer beer.

$4.49 for a 16oz can at BlueGoat, which is a complete rip off, IMO. Pours out to a cloudy dark golden, forming a slightly yellow head with beautiful retention and lacing. Firm carbonation, ~3.0 carbs or so. Nice aroma of bananas and cloves, well balanced, really a great nose...classic for the style without any flaw.Mouthfeel is medium bodied. Taste is really quite nice. Nice wheat character well abalanced with the mild bitterness and spicy phenols. Lightly sweet malty finish and leaves you wanting to drink more. No off flavors.
Really, this is one of the best weizens I've had in a while. Very well done. I know what I'll be picking up next time, but somewhere else at a much better price.

500 ml swingtop bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.4%. Hazy golden colour, huge white head. Strong aroma of ripe bananas and banana-flavoured candy / bubble gum, also notes of cloves. Refreshing flavour, some sweetness but not too much, notes of banana, citrus and cloves. In other words: a typical well made Hefe-Weissbier, which is good enough for me, as I love this beer style, esp. in summer.
