Rocky off-white head.
Old cola-coffee colored head.
Stale instant coffee aroma, hershe bar chocolate and stale coffee flavor. Odd citrus and weird yeast flavor.
Overly excited cola mouthfeel.
This is bad. The bottle must be split between 5 victims, as none of us alone are strong enough to finish it. (304 characters)

Comes in a tapered brown half liter bottle with a navy blue and gold label featuring a monk holding a Weissbier glass. The actual name of the beer is "Schwarz mit feiner Hefe" (Black with fine yeast). Purity law, of course. Best before 9/30/04, I opened it on 4/16/04.

Beautiful to behold. Cloudy dark caramel under a 2.5 finger tan contoured head that settles to about half a pencil, then lasts and lasts. Great lacing most of the way down. The nose is crisp with spice, orange and yeast. The mouth is prickly and not too light. The taste is as it should be - nice spice, banana and clove, with just a hint of sweet caramel. All of this is followed by a mellow hop bitterness that lingers very nicely, blending with the spiciness to form a smooth mosaic of pleasure throughout the mouth. Nice. (797 characters)
