Poured into lager glass.
Pours clear golden with nice white head, good retention.
Smell - malty, papery, sulphuric notes, honey hues, dough, grassy.
Taste - clean malty, very thin hop finish.

It has a yellow pale straw body with an average head but some good white lace. The aroma is a earthy and grass scent. The flavor starts off earthy but becomes grass like and metallic. For the most part the flavor is grainy. The mouthfeel was a little more than average fizzy but not overwhelming.

Light and clear yellow, small and short lived white head. No lacing at all.
Smell is faint. Hard to pick up anything.
Taste was crisp, some bitterness at the end.
Light bodied beer, somehow watery. Refreshing.
Not the worst beer I've had, won't buy it again.
¡Salud!

Comes in a German standard half liter brown bottle wiht foil around the neck and a gold and white label featuring the brewery's coat of arms. The lower label is identical to those for the Pils and Export. The only difference is a small tag at the bottom of the neck foil identifying the style. Purity law applies. Best before 1/6/05, I opened it on 6/6/04.
Pours a slightly hazy gold under a 1/2 finger white head that settles slowly to film, then lasts and lasts. No lace. The nose is very mild, with a hint of malt and a touch of metallic hops. The mouth is very prickly and fairly light. The taste opens with barley, but the metallic hoppy edge takes over quickly, leaving a rather raw bite as the main taste sensation. The malt tries to fight back, but is ultimately unsuccessful, as the bitter German hops establish themselves in the finish and linger into the aftertaste. This beer is drinkable, but lacks the malt body a good Helles should have.
