appearance; cloudy amber with a nice creamy white head. Big strips of off white lacing left behind, even a bit chunky.

smell; very pleasant malts, some vanilla bean comes to mind or maybee sugar/honey coated oats in vanilla milk. Some grassy hops blend subtle with the slightest hint of alcohol, blunt yet gentle. Smells just like a Zwickelbier and yeast is present start to finish, one of the finest smelling to date in my experience.

taste; dry grains and warming yeast, almost like a stale München malt. Not much sweetness comes about as a biter aftertaste takes dominance in the aftertaste. What malts are still present blend nicely with some yeasty blandness. All in all, reminds of a whole grain bread with a bitter bite.

mouthfeel; lower end of medium bodied, creamy and velvety, so smooth and slick, oh so refreshing with a semi-dry finish.

overall; this is a nice one, would definitely buy again. Try with a bit of celery salt sprinkled Limburger and the yeast in this beer takes on a lactic, ice cream-like aftertaste.

A-Poured into a small snifter with a two finger slighty off white head that fades quikly to a thick creamy cap with a nice hazy walnut color.

S-the nose is syrup and molasses, rasins, dates and dryied fruit.

T- Rasins, Dates, Prunes, Resin, fermented fruits and a hint of mint on the back end.

M- Light and heavy all at the same time with a slight bite on the sides of the tounge on the finish.

O- not a bad beer would be great to talk over with friends would purchase this beer again

500 ml Bottle with ceramic swing top cap

A: Nice light amber color, cloudy. off-white head that dies down after a minute. Some lacing.

S: Very light malt and yeast scents. Not picking up much hops. Hay.

T: Some malt and oak. Nothing too complex happening here. Straight forward clean flavors. A nice lasting slightly bitter finish.

M: Medium mouthfeel, light carbonation.

O: This is my first experience with a Keller beer. Let me say that I am not a big fan in general of Lagar beers, I really enjoy the complexity of yeasty flavors in ales. So that is why my ratings may seem a little low.

Having said that, this Keller beer did show some character, especially when it warmed up.
