750ml Bottle
2014 Vintage (Jan 21, 2014)
Foil Seal (Green)/Capped
Bottle Conditioned
Almost 2 years on this brew!
Poured into a Westy chalice a very nice slightly cloudy golden dark orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice small off-white head, which leaves some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, a slight yeast note, kinda peachy, slight hop note. The taste is pretty nice malty, nice yeast note, kinda fruity (peach) very nice sweetness. Medium body, slightly complex brew. Overall, this is a very nice brew.

On tap in SC.
Very interesting. Certainly one of the most flavorful and complex lagers I've had and, not coincidentally, about the only barrel aged one. Plenty of barrel aging impact but not so much so as to mask some of the underlying lager character.

This beer pours a hazy golden brown and has good carbonation with little head and very little lace. It was poured on draft and has a little bit of an astringent mouth feel the smell is very subtle and the flavor is characteristic of a maibock but not very good.

From a bottle (with an awesome label), pours a cloudy golden color, great carbonation and head that laces the glass. A bit active for this style.
The nose is very malty, apples, floral, candied caramel and sugar. The flavor is sweet, wheat, light malts, faint citrus. The alcohol is really present, making this drink heavy and every bit of its 7.8%.
Overall, pretty good. I don't ever crave this style, but this is an above average interpretation.
