APPEARANCE: Bright, brilliant orange until the last half ounce of the bottle is poured at which point it turns into a slightly hazy, pale orange-ish yellow. A thin layer of foam dissipates rather quickly leaving a ring of foam around the edges.
SMELL: The Lost Continent has a nice aroma filled with citrus. Orange and grapefruit dominate along with a good dose of pine and slightly spicy hop aroma.
TASTE: It is a bit thinner than I expected based on the nose, but it is still pretty tasty. Grapefruit beats out the orange in the aroma to come through strong. Mid-sip a sweet wave of malt quickly sneaks up on the palate and then just as quickly recedes with a hoppy and piney flavor that leaves a nice, clean, bitter aftertaste.
MOUTHFEEL: This is a refreshing, well-carbonated beer. The sweetness only lasts a moment and then it dries out, cleansing the palate. Good feel.
OVERALL: This is a pretty strong Double IPA. The sweetness in the middle of the sip could be toned down just a bit, but I will reach for the Lost Continent again.

Served on tap into a tulip glass.
A- Poured a hazy orange color with off-white soapy head with big bubbles that left webbed lacing.
S- Huge pungent grapefruit, piney, and orange citrus notes. Lots of huge juicy hop character in the aroma, very strong and aromatic.
T- Lots of sweet and juicy grapefruit, big piney hops, orange citrus, dankness, and some tropical fruit notes. Very pungent, juicy, and lots of sweetness for a DIPA, but pretty low bitterness for the style.
M-Prickly carbonation, fuller bodied, some warming, semi-dry finish, and slightly syrupy.
O- This is an intensely hoppy and enjoyable DIPA> Very concentrated hoppiness with lots of residual sweetness but not over the top.
