Pours amber with a two-finger head that is white, foamy, and doesn't retain well. Leaves moderate lace on the glass and the body has nice clarity to it.
Nose has a touch of citrus, maybe grapefruit, and a vague bitterness after that. Malt is a touch sweet but nothing to write home about.
Taste starts with some mild citrus and then moves to a half grainy half sweet malt body. Reminds me of cough syrup a little bit, and isn't bad, but isn't good either. Bitterness carries the beer to the finish, is chalky and leafy.
Mouthfeel is crisp and a bit too carbonated. Chalkiness is nice though. Drinkability is good despite no real areas of strength; this is a beer that doesn't offend but doesn't please too much either.
