Appearance: Yellowish/Orange. Thick looking.
Smell: Fruit! Almost could be confused with hops. A little yeast underneath. The fruit helps balance out the belgian character in my opinion. Not overly funky. Might be a disappointment to true belgian lovers because of this.
Taste & Mouthfeel: Very nice mouthfeel. Not too thick, but somewhat velvety still. The taste is fantastic though. The fruit complements the yeast very nicely and the overall Saison style. It almost tastes hoppy for a saison. The "skunk" like character isn't as detectable as it might be in the DuPont. The fruit covers up a lot.
Overall: I was very pleased with it, as a I often love the lighter Saison style and the fruit character that other styles offer, this was an excellent combination of the two. It is a beer that resembles the new American brewer's aesthetic: creative, innovative and well done. However, the only critique could be that it does not truly resemble a traditional Saison. Many belgian drinkers may not favor this saison, but I would encourage them to try it regardless.

Enjoyed on-tap @ Grand Teton Brewing Co in Victor, ID for $3.25. Tapped from the Handle w/ an old Farmhouse & Apricots up in the Tetons into a 16oz Pint Glass.
Aroma- Starts with a big time apricot aroma thats up-front and in your face. Tons of fruit and malt follow this up. Not much clove or spices come up but light herbs may be present.
Appearance- Received with a 2 finger head that has average retention time. Has a dark, reddish/copper colored body that has semi-haze to it. Leaves sudsy lace and effervescent.
Flavor- A nice combination of soft malts and fruit come up in the beginning. Deep apricots are found within but have to search. While having 16 ounces of this brew, it was easy to find! A slight citric flavor came up as well. Had a light-medium bitterness level.
Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Smooth yet Effervescent, and had a great amount of fruit (especially apricot/peach at the finish).
Overall Impression- Now this is a thirst quencher after hitting the slopes! Perfect qualities within and could say this was such a great twist on one of my favorite styles of 2011. HIGHLY recommend this one! Try to get this on-tap or served @ your bar.
