Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a standard pint.

A: Black. Pours a 2 finger, frothy, brown head. Settles slowly, but not completely. Some thick beer ring lacing.

S: Roasted malt grains, molasses, chocolate, and butterscotch.

T: Roasted coffee. Bitter unsweetened dark chocolate. A little black licorice.

M: Full and hearty. Bitter finish. High alcohol feel.

D: Sip and enjoy.

Atmosphere is pretty strong. Really nice head, and some persistent lacing. Nose is roasted malts with sweet components characteristic of the style. Charred coffee beans, bittersweet dark chocolate and licorice. Overall, this is a pretty good quaff.

I had this one at Bosco’s in Little Rock, their brewing equipment was being repaired, so they had in guest taps.

Served in shaker, the beer is dark brown with ruby highlights. It has a thick and clingy brown head. It’s a nice looking beer.

Aroma of roasted malts, raisins and other dark fruit.

Taste tracks the smell but a bit lighter than expected. Lightly roasted malts, a bit of dark fruit and something a bit earthy.

The mouth could be a bit thicker but I like the low carbonation and softness.

This is a lighter version of a porter. Easy to drink but could be a bit more.

Shared by someone at bu11zeye's Super Bowl tasting. Sorry I don't remember who shared it.

The beer pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is heavy on the roasted malt with some chocolate mixed in. The flavor is more of the same. I get a lot of roasted malt and light cocoa, as well as some grassy hops. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Many thanks to my smokin’ hot wife for bringing some Diamond Bear beers back from her recent trip to Arkansas. Poured a dark reddish brown/nearly black color with a good brown head. Aromas of chocolate, roasted malt and coffee. On the palate, this one is medium bodied, with flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate and cocoa.

Poured from 12oz bottle into a New Belgium tulip

Appearance: pours pretty black with just a little brown around the edges when shown to the light. . Little tiny bubbles form a 3cm head that dissipates rather quickly.

Smell: the roasted malts are kicking up some coffee and chocolate.

Taste: A lively combination of carbonation/chocolate/coffee dance on my tongue. It actually has a dry bitterness at the end.

Mouthfeel: Nice carbonation that you definitely feel on the tongue. A slight drying factor.

Overall: Got this in a beer of the month package and most of the time I am fairly disappointed with them. This one I am not. Pretty much has everything you want in a porter.

Packaging: 12 oz. brown bottle, pry-cap
Glassware: Nonic pint
Purchased: Received in a trade

Black beer with burgundy edges. Head is a creamy tan, 3 fingers high, showing good retention and lacing.

Aromas are of chocolate, coffee, treacle and a woody character.

Taste is a strong coffee-like bitterness from dark roasted malts, with some background sweetness

Feel is smooth, with a thick body. Moderately carbonated, the finish is dry and tastes of dark roast coffee bitterness.

Overall a good porter from Diamond Bear, especially if you like coffee flavoring in beer.

Thanks to TheBishopco for this one!

Paradise porter - getting past the label was hard to do.. whoever does graphic design for this company should find another profession. But I liked the chocolatey quality to it... and the thick coffee blackness...
