Into a pint glass. Nice two fingers of foam head. Cloudy copper with lots of bubbles visible.
A soft grapefruit smell.
Bold pine and lemon taste. An almost crushing bitterness without let up.
Medium body and moderate carbonation.
A solid double IPA. From beginning to end it lets you know with its bitterness. A little more complex taste would be bonus.

Appearance: Pours a golden orange with a thin whitish head that fades quickly, leaving some lacing on the glass.
Smell: Citrus fruits at the forefront with some malty sweetness, followed by resiny hops and earthy notes.
Taste: More of the aroma with malty sweetness overpowering any apparent bitterness. Slight bitter character but smooth drinking overall.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with solid carbonation and easy drinking at 8.5%. Not overly bitter due to the abundance of malt to balance out the hops.
Overall: A solid DIPA here that is definitely worth a try. I've had many better beers of the style but this is good nonetheless.

12oz Bottle from the brewery. Pours a bright copper body, ample white cap, looks promising compared to other DB fare. Smells weakly of musty cat pee, apricots, pineapple; this does not have the nose a IIPA should have. Taste is similar, muted hop notes of dried mango, musty tea leaves, the malt body comes through as a pleasant and light caramel and toffee. Mouthfeel is creamy with prickly carbonation. This is what I would call a regular IPA in the NW, and one past it's shelf life at that (even though it was bought fresh from the brewery). Use *fresh* whole hops in your late boil and dry hop additions!!!!
