Red Trolley Ale sets the standard for Irish Reds. Originally brewed as our first holiday ale, this little trolley that could has blossomed into one of the most award-winning beers of all time. Three decades (and counting) later, each batch is still brewed with a half-ton of caramelized malts for a deep copper color, rich toffee aroma, and hints of raisins and currants. There’s no need to wait for the holidays. You can ride this trolley all year long.

Nice deep copper clear colour in the glass. Head disappeared pretty quickly and then no lacing. Good carbonation and slightly sweet and caramel like in the mouth. Very drinkable with a palatable level of sweetness and I found a slight drying finish like iced tea. No strong flavours but I found this to be a good ale that went down very easily and left me wanting another one straight away. I'd buy this one again but will probably buy a couple of other red ales to do a comparison.

Purchased at a local grocery store.

Look: Deep, bright, clear red with a thick white head that quickly subsides.
Smell: Malty and a little sweet.
Taste: Like the smell but more pronounced. Starts off with a full malt flavor that finishes up with a touch of toffee sweetness.
Feel: Excellent. Low in mouth and smooth.
Overall: This is a great beer that I would highly recommend.
