Type: 22-oz. bomber
Glass: Oversized wine glass
From: VONS in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $11.49
Purchased: July 20, 2013
Consumed: Aug. 16, 2013
Misc.: N/A
Poured an almost pitch black color with two fingers of bubbly tan head. Average spots of sporadic lacing on the sides of the glass. Good amount of lacing all the way down.
Smelled pretty much black coffee, fudge and dark chocolate. Also cocoa, espresso, toffee and caramel. I’ve never had coffee, but this is it.
Tasted not quite as strong as the smell, but still similar. Got coffee, coffee beans, espresso, dark chocolate, smoky fire, dark chocolate fudge, toffee, cocoa and dark caramel. Very smooth.
Medium body. Surprisingly thinner texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish.
Just a fantastic beer. Everything was just so good. Can’t wait to try it again.

Ya, your boy feels wrecked after San Diego County punked his ass with a $ 390 impound charge I apparently you can’t park your whip in the same place for over 72 hours (and they want America to get fit by walking). Now I’m at Karl Strauss and Lady Gaga is playing… Someone help me

Black with some brown edges with a nice one finger tan head. Nose is bakers chocolate with old coffee notes. Taste follows the nose with some darker chocolate up front followed some stale coffee, that is washed away by thin lighter chocolate notes. Body is light to medium with medium carbonation. Ends dry with a lingering light bitterness. Overall an underwhelming imperial stout, might be because the bottle is old and im just getting old coffee throughout. I can’t easily interpret the bottle date so hard to say.

A young lady at BevMo recommended I get this. It's fine.
