Remarkably average. Pours with a very slight haze. Nice bit of head on the pour, but that dissapates to nothing quickly. Very little aroma, maybe a bit yeasty and grassy. Flavor is okay, slightly sour, yeasty, and bready. Little hop bitterness. I would probably have a hard time blindly telling between this and Bud...well maybe it is not that bad. I really like Sleeman's heavy grade bottles. Clear bottles are okay since they ship six packs in fully covering cardboard cases. At least they care about the taste. For the price, this beer is only okay. However, you can pick up a sixer of a local Michigan pale ale for the same price.

341ml clear bottle poured in a dimpled mug. I like the relief on the bottle of a beaver and maple leaf as well as just the neck label, but I still don't understand the clear bottle. I guess it's just their gimmick on the Canadian market.
Nice clear gold colour with a few carbonation streams. Bright white head is thin at the pour, then is just a thin ring by the time I walk from the kitchen to the living room.
Aroma is mostly corn, but with a background of light grains and a bit of a floral tinge.
Taste is mostly grains with a bit of a metallic twang in the finish. Aftertaste is harsh and caustic. Would be a fairly average macro lager but the metallic accent and chemical aftertaste it's really rather unpleasant.
Thin and fizzy mouthfeel. That caustic aftertaste combines with an unpleasant harsh feeling.
There are lots of other macro lagers out on the market and most of them are better than this one. Don't waste your time and money, unless someone buys you one, or you try it in a mix pack like I did.

Presentation: 355ml can. 5.0% Nice design can.
Appearance: Urine yellow. Way too much foam in the head. Maybe a little too much carbonation.
Smell: The first smell was inviting, but if you smell it again, there's like a soap smell.
Taste: More you drink, the less you find taste and the more you dislike it.
Mouthfeel: Not really good. High carbonation and too much after-taste bad bitterness.
Drinkability: Hey, what's going on John Sleeman? Why have you did that one? It seemed to me that your products were better than this can.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden colored beer with almost no head or carbonation. Aroma is quite skunky, which surprised me since I pick what I thought, was a fresh batch. Aroma is quite weak as expected. Taste is also quite weak with limited malt and again that skunky feel coming out. Still a mystery why they bother using a clear bottle.

Here's a review for all of the Sleeman beers that I have tasted.
Very grainy and proud on the tongue. Perfect light golden color and strong "beer" taste. Smells like beer, tastes like beer. Nothing really stands out to make this a special drink, and unfortunately all styles are very similar. I include the cream ale, honey brown lager, silver creek lager and original dark into this review.

Very pale yellow and crystal clear. Frothy head of medium duration. Laces in incomplete rings, some drips. Vaguely malty aroma, slightly tea-like. Mouthfeel is light but carbonation is about right. The flavor is definitely wanting, Karo syrup sweetness with litttle hop. Slightly grassy late in the profile. Drinkable in that its close to tasteless, there are American macros that make more of a statement -- good or bad.

Puffy white foamy head with a little lace, over top of a perfectly clear straw-yellow beer.
the aroma is a very light sour grain, with maybe some hops.
The flavour is slightly hoppy, with a very light grain character. There is a metallic tang in there that is distracting.
The mouthfeel is weak and disappointing -- rather like the whole beer.

From the start I have to say I wasn't very impressed with this, if nothing else, it seemed quite lacking. Pours out of it's trademark clear bottle a light, clear pale straw colour. There was pretty much no discernable aroma at all that I could pick out, it was laying pretty low under the radar. The flavour was of dandelion stems and medicinal herbs, with an astringent backlash of an aftertaste, surprising from the lack of aroma. I found it to have a slightly caustic mouthfeel, not very user friendly for a light lager. Can't say I'd order another one.

Unusual beer in that the more I drank of it the less I liked it. It is a pretty brew with a nice full head which seems to stick around, gradually turning into a large center bound island. The smell is just average, the taste is a little dissapointing as it leaves you wanting, it is not complete.
