I got this one at the liquor store. Being one of my more preferred macro breweries, I thought I'd give their light a shot.

Appearance: Poured with a nice thumb and a half of frothy head that retained surprisingly decently and even gave me a little bit of lacing. The beer itself is a gold, and not leaning towards yellow like most light beers. Excellent clarity and signs of solid carbonation and slow bubbles consistently rise from the body.

Smell: A lot more then most light beers put out, as grassy malts can be picked up without the need for warming. I'm catching the barest notes of mixed grains in the background as well. Still, it is clearly subdued, which given the style, should be no surprise.

Taste: Well, it is a light beer, so the entire experience is a bit watered down but that is to be expected. It starts with sweeter grassy malt, that permeates the beer until the end where a slight touch of bitterness that I'm not sure if hops or something else is causing. I do like how the grassy taste, doesn't linger and is subdued enough to actually be enjoyable. A bit boring and average, yes but you could do worse.

Mouthfeel: The carbonation is really what gives this beer a chance. It seems to kick in the mouth to allow the beer's taste to make more then a token appearance. Very smooth, as should be expected and no aftertaste to speak of.

Drinkability: It's a light beer, so needless to say this is where the beer shines. No stomach issues, a lack of aftertaste and a superbly refreshing experience lets this beer score high here. I would have no trouble pounding back a case of this stuff. The only thing I have to take away is that this beer may leave you belching a bit with the carbonation.

Final Thoughts: Pretty much the best light beer I've had thusfar. The thing I also like about this beer, is that it doesn't taste like it is just a watered down version of their Lager, Sleeman Draught. It seems to be a brew unto itself, and it pretty much does everything that a light beer can. Do yourself a favor, if you enjoy the occasional Coors or Bud Light during a hot day, pickup a six pack of this stuff instead.

Appearance - 100% crystal clear ale coloured beer, lots of carbonation. the head is a nice white fluffy in appearance. some nice lacing occurring as well.

Smell - crisp, light, some wheat, very refreshing.

Taste - easy drinking, actually pick up some sweetness to this beer. clean and refreshing, goes down light.

Mouthfeel - some carbonation added, not much. there isnt a lot of added value here.

Overall - this is a good session beer, very light, very good for day to day drinking. Thanks for the trade with spinrsx!

This pint appears a clear pale golden colour, with one finger of soapy white head, which dissipates quickly, leaving no lace in its wake. It smells of faint white grain and somewhat acrid grassy hops. The taste is more very light white grain, an essence of acidic fruit, and metallic, weedy hops. The carbonation is a bit on the high side, the body is lightweight, but not thin, and it finishes dry, with some barely-there graininess.

Nothing special, but perfectly adequate and thirst quenching for sitting on a patio in September, when it's sunny and 32 degrees outside (that's Celsius, not Fahrenheit, although I can understand any misconceptions).

A: Kept it in the can. Was outside at a get together.

S: Smelt like your typical light lager. Wet grain with slight hop on the end.

T: This beer surprised me a lot. It tasted pretty good for a light lager. It was still watery, but in a good way. Some malt and hops with a drop of spice on the end. Bit of sweetness too. The flavor is so light and yet complex compared to must other light beers.

M: Very refreshing. Good carbonation. Light crisp finish with no aftertaste.

O: I had this on vacation in Canada. I doubt they have this back home in Florida, but if they did I might pick it up. Nice light beer.

Well this beer is definetly the best light american lager. It's more golden than most of them and smells great but it's still below average. The taste is for sur above average. It has even more taste than other macro lagers. The mouthfeel is ok but there's nothing amazing about it. Overall it's tastier than most light lagers.

Poured from a 341ml. bottle.

Appearance: An eggshell white head with a bright, clear, very pale yellow body.

Smell: Aroma of cereal and corn. Not too bad.

Taste: Like diluted beer mixed with stale cereals and a tinge of sweet fruit.

Mouthfeel: Flaccid, dull, lifeless.

Overall: Pretty awful taste-wise. Not even refreshing.

355ml Can

Appearance – Clear yellow colour with an average size fizzy white coloured head. There is an average amount of carbonation showing and there is some fair lacing. The head lasted for around 4 minutes before it was gone.

Smell - Grains, malts, corn, hint of caramel

Taste & Mouth - The beer has an average amount of carbonation. I can taste malts, grains, and and corn. There is also a bit of a caramel sweetness that gives this beer cream ale flavour. It ends with a grainy/corn aftertaste with a hint of sweetness.

Overall – Probably the best light beer on the market. It's not exactly packed with taste, but it's got more than coors/bud/etc. I can also get a case for around 20$ in Quebec which is pretty reasonable.

Poured a 341-ml bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance - decent yellow colour with thin, disappearing head that leaves just a few surface bubbles.

Smell - fresh-scented grassy malts.

Taste - very good flavour, malty barley with some refreshing thin hop flavour at the end.

Mouthfeel - very smooth and enjoyable.

Drinkability - my #1 session beer. This stuff has enough taste to satisfy, refreshing character, and low alcohol content so you don't feel bad after several. A great go-to beer selection that I would recommend over and over.

341mL bottle with no freshness date poured into pint glass.

Pours a clear yellow with lots of carbonation feeding a fizzy, two finger initial head. Head fades quickly, leaving a scant haze and no lacing.

Aroma is cooked corn, a touch of honey and a bit of grassy hops. Subdued, but not surprising given the style.

Taste is more cooked corn, a hint of steely biscuit, honey, touch of apple, and some mild grassy hops to finish it off.

Light body (duh) with ample carbonation. Feels pretty good in the mouth, crisp and refreshing.

Drinkable in the sense of easy to consume. Crisp, refreshing, just enough flavour to make it worth trying again if offered.

Sleeman light: 4 ABV.
The look of it really light, you have that golden yellow color.
The smell is the same as the Sleeman Original, nothing different .
The carbonation is really light on the glass but on the taste it is more powerful.
Now the taste is the same as the Sleeman Original. Since it have only 4 ABV, the taste was more on the watery side but on the after taste you find the same as the Sleeman Original. It's nice and refreshing but don t expect to be drunk on that beer. The alcohol is not really noticeable.
So overall would I recommend it ? Yes and No.
Yes because it is a little bit much better than the Coors Light or a Bud Light.
No because if you wanna drink a Sleeman, go get the Sleeman Original or even a Honey Brown. But I give the same mark as the Sleeman Original because the only difference is the light version is more on the watery side.

Pours a clear, gold color. 2/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and slight lacing. Smells of pale malt, slight hops, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of corn/rice. Fits the style of a Light Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of corn/rice, pale malt, slight sweet malt, and slight hops. Overall, good appearance, decent aroma, and decent body.

500 ml can, don't ask why I'm drinking this.

Pours a crystal clear light orange, some golden highlights, big and fizzy white head forms, quickly bubbles away down to a thin ring and layer around the glass, a few lace spots stick. Smell is alright, sweet and corny, light floral, touch of citrus, honey, a bit bready and crackery, not a lot of character but smells alright for the style. Taste is similar, just a touch of malt character, honey, corn syrup, bread, mildly floral, just about zero aftertaste, pretty drinkable. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. No real off flavours, for a light lager this could certainly be worse.

Drank from a bottle into a pint glass.

A- I drank this because it was gifted to me and a tick is a tick. Light straw yellow with a fizzy minimal white cap that left before i got to know it. no lace.

S- Sleeman Premium light smells like Pepé Le Pew, very skunky just like the regular version. Maybe some malts in here and very faded hops. All I really get is the skunked smell.

T- Well, the taste is slightly skunked as well but not as much as the regular version, hence, this being the light version. Grains and just a notion of hop presence. Some bready malts as well.

M- Thin and light but alot of active carbonation is heard and felt. Goes down very easy and would be better without pepe.

D- Not really, I finished my bottle because I was parched and needed some liquid but I would not willingly buy this for myself, or bring it to a party. I want to try this in Canada to see if there is a difference.
