A weak flavored bock. A bock clearly but not with any attitude. The mouthfeel and lingering taste is of a medium quality german brew.
Amber color, a little light for a bock. Acknowledging the mixed grain heritage, it still seems to not fulfill the promise of a special brewing done once a year.

Opaque Amber Brown (SRM18); off white head reduced to thin cap quickly; good carbonation with a little lace. Baked bread and caramel nose - kinda like a caramel sticky bun. Sweet caramel and bready yeast flavor, but mostly caramelized brown sugar. Smooth, lite mouthfeel with prune juicy tongue coating. Overall, a very easy drinking bock.

Poured into a Celebrator pokal. Pours a medium gold amber with coppery notes and a two finger light tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, light brown sugar, hints of maple and root beer spicing. Flavor is sweet, almost syrupy, caramel malt, more caramel, raisins, nuts; finishes with sweet malt and a hint of grassy hops. Medium bodied with a light syrup consistency. Nice sweet nutty and caramel flavor, skates on the edge of being cloying. Enjoyably malty and encourages me to try other beers from this brewery.

Pours a hazy orange with a foamy tan head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, honey, citrus, and alcohol aromas. Taste is much the same with honey and orange-like flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is fairly strong but has some tasty flavors.

500ml from "Lifesource" in Salem Oregon. $2.99 ( on sale) Dark golden coloured beer with a gorgeous tight bubbled white head. Honeyish, biscuity aromas..pleasing to me.Slight grass and a touch of hazelnut. Taste is the same honeyish, soft, caramel, some nuts and a bit of ripe banana. OK mouthfeel could have afforded a bit more lively carbonation Overall though a nice soft beer for a cold windy night

A: The beer is relatively clear copper in color and has a light amount of carbonation. It poured with a finger high beige head that died down, leaving a few bubbles on the surface and a ring of bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: There are moderate aromas of bready malts, toffee and raisins in the nose along with some hints of alcohol. The smell becomes stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The overall taste is very malty and has notes of bready malts, caramel, toffee and raisins in the flavors. The initial taste has some delicate hints of malty sweetness and the finish has some hints of spices.
M: It feels almost full-bodied, a bit smooth and slightly chewy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The beer is a good representation of the style and isn’t that difficult to drink, although I’m not sure if I could drink more than a few of these in a sitting because it would eventually get filling. The alcohol is well hidden from the taste.

It poured like a dark brune/amber beer color. The head was more medium size which dissipated slowly.
I smelled wheat with a slight fruitiness like apples or pears.
It was a definetely a full body beer. It tasted of wheat, grassy notes, slight rosemary, with a hint of caramel in the finish. The alcohol was not well hidden in my opinion but still is a good beer.

This reminds me more of an American Pale Ale than a German Bock. There is a nice maltyness but the hops come over the top quickly.

The color is golden

The head started thick and quickly dissipated. little lacing on the glass.

The aroma is very malty/bready.

Not really what I expected, but not bad at all. I would buy this again, unless I was in the mood for a bock.

Served from a 1pt 9oz brown bottle into a clean Pint glass.

Josefi Bock pours decently with about a two thick head. The head is off white to tan in color, and dissipates slowly into fine lacing. The body is a dark amber color and is filtered to be quite clear.

The aroma is bready and sweet, something in the way of caramel apple and a touch of biscuit.

The brew itself is full in body, with caramel and toasted bread. It finishes on a slightly spicy and herbal note.

This bock is pretty well balanced, with being refreshing upfront and follows up with a slightly boozy finish.
