This might be a great pilsner at the source but the green glass receptacle does this beer no justice since there's a moderate skunkiness in both the aroma and flavor. Drinkable but not especially enjoyable. Probably the last beer I'll ever buy in green glass unless it's a lambic or saison.

Love this beer. So subtle, refined, clean, yet leaves you thinking that there is a lot going on and took a lot of thought to brew.

Stormin' MA, along with Tannen Zäpfle and some others, as part of a series of ultra expensive premium German imports. Zaple was fantastic, so I didn't think too hard about dropping 11 bucks on a four-pack of Lammsbrau.
Also, labeling really goes overboard stressing the "organic" angle.
Nice pour. Slight haze, heavily effervescent, straw-colored with an excellent, rocky head.
Smells a bit tame, almost more like a municher than a pils. Straw, grass, flowers, and a little bit of dry hops.
Tastes as it smells: nicely brewed, excellent balance, but pretty darn meek for the style. Starts with grass, dandelions, and yeast, gets a bit more bitter and sharp as it goes along but still never reaches the level of complexity I would like to see out of a beer that costs almost three bucks a bottle.
Am I a snob? Kinda. But super-premium price should mean super-premium beer, and while this is very nicely brewed I just don't think it was worth the money.

From the green 330 ml. bottle. Poured into a Gilde Pilsener glass on March 22, 2015.
It looks the way it should with its straw yellow color and tremendous, white foamy head. Busy carbonation. It's a beer.
The green bottle sets it off a touch with that skunkiness but I can pick up traditional toasty German malts and a grassy sort of hop character. It's a beer.
Light and refreshing body.
The taste echoes the German malt and clean, crisp grassy hop bitterness of the aroma. This goes with just about nay meal - in my case -it is Shepherd's Pie. It is your typical pilsener beer and there is no denying it.

Aroma grainy malts, grass, lemon, dough, faint honey. Taste light sweet malt, hint honey, floral, & lemon, grass. Crisp & clean finish.
